I was excited to receive this product in a package of multiple products through the product review club, at no cost. There was no other compensation for my unbiased opinion.
My hair is slightly longer than shoulder length, fine, and very curly. My concerns have been dullness, dryness and it being uncontrollably frizzy. In the past I have used oils to condition my hair, to add shine and to provide some control. My complaint has always been that the oil did not absorb quickly, and hair was left feeling greasy. Dove Pure Care Dry Oil with African Macadamia Oil was amazing! The directions state to use 3 to 4 pumps. This was normally enough even for my longer length, but periodically I would use 1 or 2 more pumps. It absorbs in a short amount of time, but long enough for it to be spread evenly throughout the hair. It leaves hair soft as a cloud, and smelling great. The shine is like one of healthy hair. After two weeks of daily use, there is still approximately two-thirds of the bottle remaining. A little goes a long way with this product. Definitely a new addition to my arsenal of hair products!

I had the opportunity to try Dove Pure Care Dry Oil as part of the Chick Advisor product review club.

I found that two pumps of oil were all I needed after a shower to keep my ends shiny and looking healthy. I would put another pump on the ends on the days I didn't shower.

I have no issues with the scent. I don't find my hair any softer than after using my other hair oils, but was impressed with this oil based on the price. As I have only been using it for two weeks I can't reflect on whether it is helping to prevent split ends.

Thanks to ChickAdvisor I was given Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia OIl to test and review. I have been using this product regularly since I received it and I think it does a terrific job at smoothing my dry ends as well as help reduce damage from styling tools. It leaves my hair shiny and soft without looking greasy or oily. A little goes a long way with this stuff! My only criticism is that I found the smell to be very strong. It smelled a lot like baby oil and for someone who can sometimes be sensitive to smell, this one was too strong for me. Other than that, great product and I will continue to use it in my hair care routine going forward.

This is a review of the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil which while supplied courtesy of ChickAdvisor and Dove, all opinions are my own based on my personal experience with the product. This is a lovely product! The glass bottle is really pretty and makes the product feel expensive and high-end. The oil itself is excellent. The scent is light and fresh, nothing overpowering. I used it on both damp hair before blow drying and smoothed over my ends as a finishing product. Results were good though honestly not life-changing. Again, I don't find I'm reaching for this as often as I thought I might. More likely I will continue using this product as a weekly or bi-weekly treatment as opposed to daily use. I'm undecided if I would purchase again. Thanks again Dove and ChickAdvisor for the opportunity

This product is great if you use a flat iron because they fry your hair and these oil treatments really help a lot. This product tames your hair and conditions the dry ends from flat iron use. My hair is thick and I like to protect the ends of my hair which over time just die even if I really try not to cook them with the high heat.

Dove Nourishing Treatment nourishes the ends of my hair and I focus on that when I use this type of treatment. As for the rest of my hair, I just smooth on a little oil and this product makes hair shiny and manageable. I use just a touch throughout my hair and more product on the ends. This is a nice, rich oil that tames flyaway hair and conditions very nicely. The smell is nice and I like the effect this has on damaged ends by smoothing and restoring shine.

I cant brag enough about this product. It does what it says and it is really amazing. My daughter has curly hair which can become very dry and knotty. After using a tiny bit of this there is a BIG difference and her hair looks and feels amazing

    Love Love Loved!

I purchase a lot of hair serums and this was by far the best I've ever had!

Yes I know it specifies "hair treatment", but it works as a serum.

I always used on wet hair, the scent was out of this world (Macadamia) and it was effective, which is what you want. It kept my hair soft with a nice scent and easier to manage.

    Definitely purchasing again.

Great for curly headed girls and guys!

Out of everything, I loved this product the most. The oil is light and didn't weigh my hair down in the least. On days I wore my hair naturally (curly) the curls stayed curly all day (as opposed to falling into loose waves the moment the wind hit it, or just loosing their will to live throughout the day) and even into the next day, which never happens. There is a scent, but it's so light that I barely noticed it, which is my preference for hair products. Also, a little goes a long way, so I don't think I'll be buying another bottle for a while; it's going to last me ages, but I 100% intend to buy it once it is finished. Bonus, the packaging for this is gorgeous. The glass bottle has such a nice weight to it that it feels sort of like a luxury product I bought as Sephora rather than one I can get at the drugstore.
