The Dove Refresh+Care dry shampoo has been my go-to dry shampoo for years. It's lightweight and smells amazing. I love to use it on my heart oil hair days (the brink of needing a deep shampoo day) as it always picked up the oil and left my hair feeling really light and fluffy. The only thing is that it shows up really white on dark hair so you need to make sure you really work it in be scalp a d strands.

I received this from chick advisor to try and I was really happy because I've only recently discovered dry shampoos and I'm a huge fan of what I've tried thus far and I was pleased to get a chance to try this dove dry shampoo. Right away I noticed that the spray comes out in like a cloud of product so I had to pace myself because I didn't want to use to much on my hair at the one time. I think that this dry shampoo worked really well and I didn't feel like it left any kind of powder residue which I've noticed with other brands, I do feel like the scent is a little stronger though than my current dry shampoo. Overall I felt like this dove dry shampoo is a very good product and it does the job very well of making my hair look freshly washed without the added time of having to do so. I fell like the price of this dry shampoo is a lot more expensive than the dry shampoos that I have been using of late and if I'm completely honest I would buy this again if it were on sale or if I had a coupon but I don't think I could justify spending almost double on a product if I don't have to. I loved how this worked so well and how it left my hair looking so good but maybe it's more for someone who doesn't mind spending more money on hair products.

I am not the biggest fan of Dry Shampoos but Dove's does do a decent job at refreshing your hair when you don't have time to wash it. I wouldn't use it all the time but in an emergency it does the job. Having a bottle on hand is worth it.

Thanks to Dove and Chick Advisor for giving me the opportunity to try these new products. It's the first time I've tried dry shampoo and I'm impressed with the results so far. I wash my hair every second day so I've been using the dry shampoo in between. I find it very easy to apply, there no mess to clean up and the fragrance is fresh and pleasant.

Thanks to dove and chickadvisor I got to try this out free. I don't use a lot of dry shampoo but I have tried a few brands. My favorite part is the smell light and clean. The dry shampoo was light on the hair and left little to no white mess. Compared to other brands I've tried this is one of the top 3. My teen gets more use of this and she adores it.

I probably can't say enough good things about this dry shampoo. First - the smell is amazing - its light and clean smelling - everything you want from a dry shampoo. Second - no white powder! There is no residue after spraying, and brushing through. Third - does a great job! I have short hair that tends to look oily really quickly, and this works like a charm

I really wanted to like this product, but this dry shampoo just left me flat. I don't *hate* it, but I don't think it is great either, especially if it sells for the suggested price of $9.99 a can. I wish there was an option between "You Betcha!" and "Fugheddaboutit!" - it could be called "Meh".

First off, this has a really intense perfume-y scent. I used it in our small bathroom the first time I tried it and I seriously wished I had opened a window for better ventilation because it felt like I was inhaling perfume. Because of the intensity, I'd also be hesitant to use it in a locker room. I stop noticing the scent on myself as time passes, but I'm not sure if it is because it fades or if I just get used to it. It's not a bad scent - I just find it too intense.

To apply, shake can before use and spray directly onto oily roots from a distance of 20-25 cm (roughly 8-10 inches). You are then supposed to rub in using palm and brush out. I did this each time I tried it and it worked....okay. I found I needed to use a bit more of this product than other dry shampoos I have tried. It definitely mattifies any shine you might have from excess oil in the hair. It does initially look powdery and have a white-ish cast, but my hair has blonde highlights and I found that thoroughly patting and raking my hands through the roots made it blend in nicely. I'm not sure if blending in would be an issue with dark hair or not.

It does give a little texture and a bit of body at the roots. While I don't particularly care for the way this feels when my hair is down, I do think it works well when I'm attempting to do an updo with 2nd day hair. It gives it a little less slip so it will stay pinned up more securely, and I'm able to get a little lift at the roots too. If I were to purchase this, I would likely use it almost exclusively for this purpose.

I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. So would I purchase this myself? If I had plans to pin up my hair, and I was going to use it at home in a well-ventilated space, I might - but not for $9.99. The *most* I could see myself paying for this is around $6.99, which would make it comparable to what I have paid for got2b (which I also use specifically for up-dos). If I was looking just to freshen up my hair on a regular basis, I would pay a little more for Batiste. I feel like it freshens better with less product, they have a huge range of scents, and since they make varieties for medium and dark hair, it may be easier to blend in for some people.

It's not a bad product and as I said, I could see myself using it in certain circumstances, but I would not use this on a regular basis for the reasons I mentioned above. I think Dove has some great products, but this one is a miss for me personally. As always, your mileage may vary.

i ve never used dry shampoo before trying this. my daughters use it if they wake up late for school. i used it but didn t see a huge difference. if your hair is really oily then it likely wont work all that well but for a day between showering its great

Sorry, Dove - I love most of your products but this one is a flop, in my opinion. The can spoke of deathly warnings in three different areas, which immediately put up too many red flags in my direction. Anything that lethal isn't usually welcome in my home, let alone seeping onto my head. At the first chemically overbearing shot of spray from the freshly shook can, I regretted putting it on my hair. Within seconds of rubbing it in as suggested on the packaging - my scalp began to feel and look oily and dirty. Like - ran a marathon on a hot summer day then partied all night and did the walk of shame two-days later with greasy hair sort of dirty.

Thank you, but it was re-gifted - and I hope it works for my pal better than it did for me.

Perhaps my hair is not made for dry shampoo. Perhaps the product is a neat idea to some. I'm glad to have been given the opportunity to try it for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Review Club. Thank you

I LIVE by Dry Shampoo, it is always on hand and as a busy mom/business woman I fee like I'm lucky most days if I get a shower, let alone to wash my hair! I was excited to test out the Dove Dry Shampoo as it's new to me but the price tag was a bit of an ouch! I found this a bit high and likely wouldn't pay more than $6 on sale for it personally. The Dry Shampoo works great though, sprays evenly and brushes through. I use it in problem areas (roots, bangs) and it buys me a day of no-poo! Definitely worth trying if you are on the hunt for a Dry Shampoo that works.
