I am a dry shampoo junky - so maybe my standards are a little high. I only wash my hair with shampoo and water twice a week at most. First, the good. The dry shampoo smells GREAT, just like you would expect from a Dove product. It wasn't a heavy scent and it doesn't hang with me all day. You know what I mean! Often dry shampoos are so heavily scented you can't help but smell it all day. It certainly made my hair soft and left my hair less oily.
The downside was just that it maybe made my hair too soft. I like my dry shampoo to give my hair a little boost of volume and this one doesn't do that for me. It's great for the beginning of the no-shampoo cycle, so I will finish using it, however I have other dry shampoos that are better for the latter half of the cycle where I need a little more strength.
I really enjoyed using this dry shampoo. I have been using dry shampoos for years in between washes for my typically greasy scalp and this product really did the trick! Light and easy to apply, smells good and works great. Added volume without looking unnatural. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to extend their hair styles between washes.
Let me start by saying I received this product to test for free. This is my honest review of it. I have thin, straight, oily hair so dry shampoos are a must for me. I have tried other dry shampoos from dove before and didn't love them but this one is much better than the original one they make. It definitely gives my limp hair volume and a little goes a long way. If you use too much your hair will have that waxy coated feeling that a lot of volumizing dry shampoos cause. The smell is a powdery lavender scent and is quite strong so if you don't like strong powdery scents you will not like this. It does leave a white cast on your hair but that goes away for the most part with rubbing/combing in. This dry shampoo lasts a while before your hair starts to need a touch up, I'm talking at least one full day. This would be a great product if you needed to add a little bit of volume to your hair if you were, let's say, curling it and your curls don't hold. I normally use batiste dry shampoo which is, in my opinion, the best dry shampoo on the market. This is very similar to their xxL version. For adding volume to my hair I would probably use this one again, but for every day use I will stick to batiste. This is simply because volumizing dry shampoo's tend to make my hair feel more waxy than I like. Also, the scent is a little too strong for me since I'm not a big floral fan
I received this product for free to try out. I have tried a few different dry shampoos and this one isn't too bad. I tried it in a few different ways including one, two and three days in between washes. I am trying to limit the amount of washes to help my hair become more healthy so dry shampoo is a savior in avoiding a greasy look. It sprays on easily and applies looking white. Once you work it in for a second with your fingers the colour blends in with your hair. It does not give you a complete freshly washed look, but definitely removes the greasiness. After a couple of days of use though the product builds in your hair and causes it to clump underneath. This is not surprising given what it is.
Overall, I would recommend this product for one or two days use in between washes. It performs well, but is not the best one (or the worst) that I have tried. It's definitely worth a shot.
Good product with a really great smell. It works and actually don't let my hair white or anything. My boyfriend use it all the time and love it too.
I always loved Dove product because they seems natural and soft for my skin and my hair. No chemical products in it.
The dry shampoo from Dove works decently well. I am trying not to wash my hair daily, and this keeps it looking fresh and clean. It is easy to use. I don't think it works any better than some of the other dry shampoos I have used such as Tresemme. As far as all dry shampoos go, I still prefer to use Batiste, but that product is expected to perform better with the higher product price.
I received thisnproduct for free from Chick Advisor. I used it twice before writing this review. For me, it works great on second hair day, but anything after that I don't find this product absorbs the oil like I would like it to, I have oily scalp.
Price point is great, very affordable.
Why am I not reccomending it? The perfume. It's too strong for me and I'm not even sensitive to smell. I won't be buying it again simply for this reason, unless maybe they have a different one that I don't know about.
I thought that this product was reasonably priced and worked very well. It does absorb all of the grease/oil quickly so it is reliable in that way. The only downfall of the product, and most brunettes can relate, is that the product is incredibly white so it takes a while to blend it in. I would prefer if the product was a bit darker so I didnt have to spend so much time doing this.
As a brunette, I'm always a little wary of dry shampoos since a lot of them leave a white cast in dark hair. I'm happy to report that as long as you don't go overboard this dry shampoo doesn't do that. I still only get about 1 extra day before I have to wash my hair, (how can some girls go a week without washing their hair?!) but that is enough for me! The spray nozzle is my favorite way of dispensing dry shampoo since it is less messy and more precise. Being a drugstore product, it is well priced and you can always keep an eye out for sales to stock up. I enjoy this product, but gave it only 4 stars because it didn't change my life or my hair routine.
The Dove Dry Shampoo smelled great and matched up with the current dry shampoo that I currently use. I found that it sprayed evenly and didn't have any kind of residue. It was easy to brush out and didn't leave any white marks in my hair. I liked that it reduced the shine and made my hair feel soft. It also didn't compete with styling products that were used afterward. Would definitely recommend this and will be replacing my current one with this when it is time to buy a new one.
