Great product to hold curls

If you are looking for a product to hold your curls this mousse is great!! The only thing is that for me it left my hair a little dry. Otherwise I definitely recommend.

Control but not crunchy

Light weight moose. Conditioning to keep the frizzyness away. It has a nice fresh smell. I use more towards the ends of my hair and scrunch when I want extra curly. I also use as a base to straighten my hair. ( I smooth and put big curls in)

This works!!

This is the only product that tames my half curly/half wavy hair, without leaving it feeling crunchy or heavy. It doesn’t flake off as it dries either!

Not for everyone

Personally because I like stronger hold, I found that this mousse was too soft despite it being the strongest power they have for the product. I would highly recommend it for people who like using mousse but without having a change in hair texture. I prefer that the mousse that i use leave my hair stiff for a few hours so that when i wake up, my curly are not flattened and my hair is soft in the morning (as the mousse wears off with my turning, tossing and hair rubbing on my pillow)

Love it but then the bottle stopped working :(

I bought 2 bottles of the dove care-curls, one for me to enhance my curls and one for my daughter who has extremely curly, coarse hair. I loved that it worked wonderfully, except both bottles, used by each of us, within a few day time frame stopped working. Like there was no compressed air to push the product out. They are both more than half full. I want to get another bottle but scared that it will happen again. This is why I put a low star rating for the quality.

Great on wet hair, not good on dry hair

I have used mousse for the last 20 years and I've tried pretty much every brand out there.
The Dove Style + Care Curl Defining Mousse is tricky.
What's beneficial is that you need to use very little to get soft, manageable curls so a bottle lasts quite a bit of time.
What's not beneficial is typically if you add too much mousse, your hair is very crunchy but this can be worked out by scrunching a little.
If you use too much Dove Curl Defining mousse, it makes your hair VERY greasy looking and unappealing. I had stopped using it year ago because I couldn't seem to figure out the perfect amount and my (clean) hair was always heavy and looking greasy.
Also - I usually wash my hair every other day and need to add a little bit of mousse on day 2 to calm some of the frizz down. I've never had a problem with this until I used this product. Adding this mousse to dry hair is not recommended because if you happen to miss incorporating it all into your hair, it will dry white and you will constantly be asked if you have paint in your hair.
I will use up the bottle that I purchase on my wet hair and supplement another mousse for dry hair until this bottle is empty. I would not purchase again.
