Effectiveness is just as average as other hairspray but smell is too strong for me. Not my kind of hairspray. I do prefer their old spray :/ For the price, I would say it's okay, but I don't think I will go with other spray due to its strong scent

I use hairspray fairly often to hold my wavy hair. I was excited to try this product because it said it was flexible hold which is what I really like and use. It sprays on really light so, you don't even feel like you are even using hairspray. I was feeling really optimistic throughout the morning as it was holding and looking great but by mid afternoon, the hold was no longer there and I didn't have the product with me to reapply. That said, with the length of time it lasted, it would definitely work well for a night out. I will definitely give it another try but I have had better success with other flexible hold sprays. The hairspray also has a chemical type smell which I didn't like.

Dove style+care flexible hold hairspray claims to give strength and shine while providing flexible hold with natural movement. I put my hair in a messy bun on the top of my head and used the hairspray to tame my fly aways. It lasted for a few hours and then they were back. I thought it was maybe unfair seeing as how I did a "messy bun" so I attempted the next day while curling my hair. This seemed to work better for me unless my fly aways were more easily blended into my hair?! I'm not sure. I've used it about 5 times since receiving it and I don't think it provides anything special, especially for its price point. It does add a nice shine to my hair but that is not enough compensation for not hiding my fly aways and frizz. In regards to strength and helping prevent dry/split ends, it works! It does hide and prevent those and that is a hair issue I am burdened by! Lastly, the smell is terrible!! Dove should seriously consider changing the scent. It reminds me of men's after shave which isn't fitting for hairspray?! Definetly more manly and musky than I prefer for my hair. Overall I would not recommend this hairspray as there are cheaper options that provide equal or greater benefits to hair care.

Got to try free from chickadvisor and dove. I'm not a fan of hairspray but I did try anyway. It seemed to work like it says. Held for most of the day. Smelled very light and didn't make my hair feel or look crunchy. I would recommend to those who do use hairspray on a normal basis.

Not much to say about this one. Wasn't that great. Had hardly any hold and the smell was ok. Not anything special about this hairspray. Average at best.

I got this product free as part of the Chickadvisor product review club. This hairspray is definitely flexible... too flexible. I found it really didn't give my hair any hold at all. It also had quite a strong chemical scent when first spraying it on, though that did fade quickly. I need something with more staying power even when I'm wearing a hair style that needs movement.

Unfortunately, while this product does style my hair well (flexible hold like I prefer), I cannot get past the cloying fragrance.

I even gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking I was so used to the fragrance of my usual brand, so I continued to use it on subsequent days thinking it would get better. It did not get better and I was super self-conscious of the smell alllll day.

I wasn't overly impressed with this hairspray. It stated that it was a "strong hold" hairspray, but I didn't see that, I couldn't even tell that I had any hairspray in my hair and the hold just wasn't there, It seemed like there was hardly any product being sprayed out of the can (maybe I have a defective can?).

For the price of this hairspray, I feel that there are much better options on the market.
