I got a sample of this product in a subscription bag, and I was pretty happy with it. It has very fine granules that slough away dead skin cells without causing irritation. The smell is a bit like lemon floor cleaner which can be off putting, especially if you prefer products that are scent free.
I've been buying Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion for a while, and ever since they changed their container to this tube as seen here they product doesn't seem the same. It used to leave my skin feeling so smooth. Not anymore! I'm not sure if they change the ingredients or maybe my skin changed. So now I'm on the look for a new microdermabrasion.
Any suggestions?
If you're looking for an awesome skin resurfacer, you definitely have to try this out! Helps reduce dullness and gives the skin an amazing glow!!
I received a sample size of this product and I love it. I love the black packaging and it even smells good, it's almost like a lemony smell. It's definitely exfoliating, it is a bit rough so when you rub you face you do have to be carful not to rub too hard or it kind of hurts. It absolutely leaves your skin feeling clean and soft.
*I did go to Sephora to by a full sized product ($78) but the sales girl told me it was to harsh for my skin so I didn't purchase it.
I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed the scrub. I usually love sugar scrubs because they leave my skin nice and soft, and it dissolves nicely when being washed. I like this scrub because the exfoliants are very very tiny (whatever they are). It says its microderm crystals and I found it was a similar sensation as when I used to get microdermabrasion done. I would definitely get this again!
I love this product, it smells fainly of citrus, and the scrubbing particles are very tiny. I use it on my face and it really smooths things out, refreshes your skin, and it is also a bit warming. My husband uses it every day on his shaved scalp and loves it as well. The product runs from about $13 to $21 an ounce depending on the size that you buy, maybe pricy but well worth the splurge.
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion is the latest wonder product from the Dr. Brandt Skincare line sold at Sephora (in stores, and online). This high-end exfoliating scrub contains diamond-shaped magnesium oxide crystals that gently polish away dead skin cells, leaving your skin radiant and smooth.
Dampen your skin with warm water before applying a small (dime to nickel-sized) amount of the product. Using your fingers, gently smooth the scrub onto your skin while avoiding your eye area. I tend to apply the product by "drawing" circles over my cheeks, jawline, nose and forehead with my finger tips, so that the pressure is not too heavy. After 1 to 2 minutes, rinse off all of the product and pat your face dry with a soft towel. You should notice an immediate difference.
Don't forget to follow up with a luxurious moisturizer so that your skin doesn't end up too dry.
If you have very sensitive skin, you will want to exercise caution in using this product. Although it is reputed to not irritate or scratch skin, my sister found the product to be too strong for her face.
