I got a FPC as well for this Dr.Oetker mug cake.I picked the Chocolate sensation pack.It comes with 2 x 90 g packs. You grease a mug,add one pack and 5 tbsp of milk and mix until well blended it suggest to whisk for better perfection but there's no way I could get a whisk in the mug so I used a fork.I felt like I was blending forever it didn't seem to mix quick enough. You then bake this this in the microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds. After that time I took it out of the microwave and the cake totally sunk back in from being puffed up and over the rim.I put it in for another 15 seconds.

It was convenient being in a mug and a single serving. But it had a funny smell and the chocolate tasted really chalky the texture as well was strange I kept feeling like it wasn't cooked properly. When I got down to the bottom it seemed even more uncooked so I ended up throwing what was left away. The taste lingers in your mouth and not in a good way and that funny smell lingers in the air for a long time. The mug was a caked on mess literally!I really had to soak it for a long time so in the end it was not to convienent.Sorry Dr.Oetker you do have some good products but this one is not a winner.I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I received a FPC from Dr.Oetker to try their Mug Cake. I followed the instruction, it does say may need to /- 5 seconds. I had to 15. The cake came out of the cup a little rough, though it was 'greased' with butter. I waited for it to cool for 5 minutes, says 2-3. When I put my fork through the cake I knew it wasn't going to be good. The consistency was weak and smooshy. The taste bitter. I didn't finish it. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. And have infact already told friends how bad I thought it was.

Gave this a try and it was alright. Rich chocolate flavour, easy to prepare. But for the price I can buy a cake mix or mix up a scratch batter and do the same thing for the entire family for a lot less.
Would be great for someone who is single and just wants a quick and simple sweet treat!

i got this box of dr oetker mug cake for free from their facebook promotion. so today i was craving for some sweet and made it. it was simple, kist mix some milk with the mix, then heat it up in microwave for 1 min 20 secs. but at the end of the time it was i nthe microwave, the juice came out of the mug and made a little mess. but that wasnt too bad if it tastes good. unfortunately, mine came out a little too soggy and not enough sauce, and it was too filling for a deseert. i thought mug cake would be as light as cake, but nope i was wrong. i dont think i would spend my money on this.

having said that, i for sure will buy their sheriff mousse, i tried that and it was very good, good for summer too!!

I got a B1G1 coupon so decided I'd try it. I purchased the chocolate sensation and it was super easy to make. All that is required is mix with milk in a mug and microwave. It only took 5 minutes to prepare, and it is just like carrying a cup of coffee mug. All that is required is mix with milk in a mug and microwave.
It has a very creamy texture and the chocolate tastes rich not chalky, as I though might happen.
It is high in calories a 390 but it's a treat, so what the heck :)
    I'll definitely buy it again!
