Not as easy as your frozen pizzas

If I have the time and ingredients I would rather make my own dough from scratch. That way I know the ingredients. It did take less time than my scratch but I would have liked to be given the temperature of the warm water that I added included in the instructions. We did like the taste and quantity of the sauce. If I don’t have time for a scratch crust I would rather cook a frozen pizza.

Ended up putting this kit together with my kids. Kids have fun making the dough and creating their own pizza, directions were easy to follow, reasonable priced

Great to have on hand!

What I really liked about this product is the shelf life, unlike when you buy fresh dough from the grocery store. This format makes it much more convient when we haven't planned out our meals and need something quick. We haven't had much luck lately with frozen pizzas and their cooking times so this was a great alternative!

My kids and I loved making this dough, easy to use and fast. I would highly recommend to anyone. Tasted delicious and kids are asking to make again soon

okay but like Kraft kit better

Tried the Dr. Oetker Pizzaiolo kit. Had extra people over so had to bake a Kraft kit as well to ensure we had enough so I was a little lite on the toppings. As it was the first time with this kit used the timings as listed and in my oven it ended up getting a little crispy. While I liked the taste of the crust better than the Kraft kit, the sauce was a major let down in comparison and the fact that there was parmesan cheese like the Kraft kits just left me feeling cheated. The price point was less than the Kraft Kit. However, the sauce factor, no parmesan, and the fact that I grew up with the Kraft kits and it is an old familiar taste that brings back memories makes Kraft the clear winner in this fight. Overall okay but I would choose the Kraft kit over it every time.

Easy and simple

I was given this product free by chickadvisor and Dr. Oetker in return for my honest reviews. Who doesn't love pizza, most of us have pizza atleast once a week. Having two kids at home means we eat pizza 2-3 times a week. We tried making this pizza last weekend and it was a great teamwork. My kids also helped as it was super easy to make. Kneading the dough takes just about 3-4 minutes and its like you're having the store bought pizza at home. Kids loved to decorate it with their choice of toppings and ofcourse lots and lots of cheese. Its super easy and fun to cook or bake together and enjoy it afterwards. The pack can easily get you two decent size pizzas as we had some left overs. I would recommend to keep the crust thinner if you like the well baked taste of bread as the thicker crust takes longer to cook and is dense. We personally prefer the well baked but that's different for everyone. The taste of crust isn't something super great so I would recommend this for one of the super busy days when we run out of options. Families, specially with kids could have an opportunity to bring the kids together for a fun baking activity and also introduce new skills to them.

Frozen vs Make It Yourself

When I first received my pizza kit, I was somewhat skeptical of the taste and quality. Once I opened it and followed the directions, I was pleasantly surprised as to how easy it was to make with no other ingredients needed for the dough. No running to the store to purchase the extras you don't have in your pantry. I much prefer a thicker crust and found the amount of dough not quite adequate for my taste. You also have to be careful to monitor the cooking time as the crust will overbake easily. I added a lot of toppings to offset the thin crust, but this resulted in having to eat with a fork and knife instead of just just holding a slice in my hand as the dough doesn't rise that much. As for the taste, I would have to say it was average. Not too salty of a dough. I should have made mini pizzas instead to ensure a thicker crust. Overall, this product was easy to make and the sauce had a good flavour. Not overly impressed with crust cooking time. I do eat the Dr. Oetker frozen pizzas and had hoped the taste would be similiar, but it was not. I appreciate the promotion as it allowed me to try a product I would not buy usually. Compared to their kits, I still prefer the Dr. Oetker frozen pizzas.

Fine basic kit

I made just one with the kit on a pizza pan, so the crust was quite thick. If you like a thinner crust, make two, or use a longer rectangle pan. The crust was nice, very bready. I made a Ying Yang design with chicken and black olives. The sauce was fine. For the price, I'd expect seasonings and cheese. You still have to buy those, as well as of course toppings. So the value isn't quite there.

Need more flavour add it to it

Need more Ingredients to it the taste was ok I guess I all ways make mine from scratch a lot Different taste may be just and more Spices to it I didn’t like the taste so bad

My family love Dr. Oetker products and we were very interested in trying their new Pizzaiolo Kit; however, we couldn't find it in stock anywhere! Alas, we never did get to try it but we will keep looking. Thank you for the opportunity Chick Advisor and Dr. Oetker
