Frozen vs Make It Yourself

When I first received my pizza kit, I was somewhat skeptical of the taste and quality. Once I opened it and followed the directions, I was pleasantly surprised as to how easy it was to make with no other ingredients needed for the dough. No running to the store to purchase the extras you don't have in your pantry. I much prefer a thicker crust and found the amount of dough not quite adequate for my taste. You also have to be careful to monitor the cooking time as the crust will overbake easily. I added a lot of toppings to offset the thin crust, but this resulted in having to eat with a fork and knife instead of just just holding a slice in my hand as the dough doesn't rise that much. As for the taste, I would have to say it was average. Not too salty of a dough. I should have made mini pizzas instead to ensure a thicker crust. Overall, this product was easy to make and the sauce had a good flavour. Not overly impressed with crust cooking time. I do eat the Dr. Oetker frozen pizzas and had hoped the taste would be similiar, but it was not. I appreciate the promotion as it allowed me to try a product I would not buy usually. Compared to their kits, I still prefer the Dr. Oetker frozen pizzas.

Great product idea

What a great product idea. This kit allowed me to creat my own dough and design. The taste was amazing and had fun topping the pizza with my kids. Great for family and they all loved it.

I received this free for review, however my opinions are 100% my own. My kids, hubby and myself all loved it so much! It was super fast and easy to make with everything you needed in the box well except for a bit of water, oil and flour for dusting!

Easy to Use

Using the kit was very simple, the directions were very clear, and it turned out well. It was fun to pick out all of the ingredients and put it together.

Was pleased

Dr Oetker pizza kit was pretty good. The sauce is pretty basic, we jazzed it up a bit, crust was nice. Would recommend to friends and family. I've purchased again a few times already.

Awesome kit!!

This was super easy to make! As a busy mom I like making quick meals after a long day. Add warm water, knead, roll and bake! I made 1 big pizza, pepperoni for the littles and bbq chicken for the adults. The crust was perfect, took about 20 mins to bake. I will definitely buy this again! I received this kit free to try and honestly I loved how easy it was to make and it had all the ingredients for the dough in the box just add your own toppings!

Easy to make

It was very easy to make the dough. It kneaded easily and evenly, and it didn't have too much of a yeast flavour. It cooked evenly as well and stayed soft. It held its shape nicely.
