stores in my location do not carry this item. would love to try it, please distribute to more stores. could not find it online either. I will look when we are on vacation.

Not for me

Alright so I'll start off by saying in my hunt for this item it's not in the freezer section it's with pasta sauces and stuff.
Alright so I'll say the instructions are easy to understand was able to follow them easily I followed them perfectly.... I made a medium pizza with it and planned to freeze some dough (it said I could) now personally after cooking just looking at it I had seen it didn't rise at all that alone not a deal breaker since I'm a thin crust fan but .... I've never actually eaten a pizza where I could compare the crust to cardboard but this definitely compared to that it was really unfortunate and a let down for me personally. I will say the sauce it comes with is yummy so there's that. The reason I didn't just give one star is the yummy sauce and the fact that both my food critic children (2 and 7) had zero issues and loved the pizza so if the kids will eat I can't completely say it sucks but it is not for me unfortunately I really had high hopes as I love their frozen pizzas but this just didn't hit the mark.

Good family activity

I received a coupon for a free box but I am having a really hard time finding this product anywhere near me so this review is based solely on the idea of the product. I think it’s a fantastic idea for a fun family activity. I do think that you could make this all at home without the need for this kit but I do understand that it’s easier to grab a mix sometimes instead of making it completely from scratch. From the reviews I’m seeing it’s tricky to get right and there may not be enough sauce so keep that in mind (but remember I can’t even find it near me so that might not be my experience when I do eventually find it). I’ll give an updated review whenever it makes its way to a store near me.

Not for everyone

I received this product free in exchange for my honest review.

The dough came together easy enough. We used the sauce that came in the box on one, and BBQ sauce on the other due to an allergy.
The dough cooked well, in the time in the instructions. However, the crust tasted like your average mass produced frozen pizza crust. The sauce on the other hand, should be sold separately! It is the nicest tasting pizza sauce!!!

Could Go Either Way

Making it was super simple and quick. Personally I liked it, nice flavor dough and sauce but my husband who seems to like almost everything did not like this pizza.

A little too much effort for my liking

This would be a fun family activity with the kids, but for someone making dinner, it required a bit too much effort for my liking. Also, I found the dough was too dry if I followed the instructions and had to add some extra water to the flour mixture. I also had a horrible time trying to get my pizza to look remotely round. I thought I made the dough thin enough but once it baked, it was just a tad thicker than what I like. The taste isn't too bad though, and I like how I could put my own toppings on it, but I think I prefer the convenience of ordering a pizza.

Better than I thought

Its a good dough...but wayyyy to expensive for what it is. I can make the same thing at home for 50cent. My expectations were really low, so I was suprise by it. Its soft, not hard. But make 1 big pizza, way to small for 2 pizza. Im use to more tasty dough, but its convenient. It's fast. And it's better than I thought. Its fun for kids to do fast. Easy steps also. And the sauce is good.

You can make a better version on your own!

I couldn’t find the exact Dr. Oetekr product on this site but this was the closest title. My product review is actually for the new Pizzaiolo pizza making kits including a dough mix and sauce. This is a new product so perhaps that’s why I couldn’t find it. The mix comes with enough of a deal recipe for two pizzas although the quantity of the sauce wasn’t enough I found. There is one mix with a basic white dough and another mix with whole wheat base. The whole wheat base became too dry as is often the case with whole wheat crusts, and the regular white door taste the same as their frozen pizzas. I’m giving this product a three out of five because you can make your own and better dough at home in addition to the sauce. This is a great way to get kids engaged however as they do encourage you to make different shapes out of the dough and they have interesting recipes online. Overall, for the price of $5.99 you can definitely find better products out there and make your own!

Kids like it

My children said the pizza was great and for $4.97 for two pizzas I can't disagree however the crust itself is very bland and would benefit from some herbs and spices to mix in. The sauce was a good consistency and not too spicy for little pallets.
