Why does everything get smaller?!

I've loved Drumsticks icecream cones since they came out in 1991... my boyfriend and I hadn't had one of these is YEARS! And so I bought a box a week ago and to our surprise they had shrunk! The size of the Drumstick today is considerably smaller than what we ate back in college. It's a shame that the prices keep going up and the quantity and sometimes quality keeps going down...
