Great for Skin!!

It's extremely nourishing and the ingredients list is extremely luxurious and what appealed to me the most when purchasing this product. Drunk Elephant uses marula oil in all their products which is fantastic as it is such an amazing oil for all skin and absorbs so well and works wonders for my skin.

Favorite DE product so far

This is an early review for Lala Retro. I received a mini size of the cream from Sephora a while back and I opened it recently. So far, it's the Drunk Elephant product I like the most.

I find the cream to be thick, and while it feels a little stiff scooping it out of the jar, it warms quickly in my hands and applies easily to my face. It absorbs very well and feels rich and very moisturizing. Compared to another of the DE moisturizers, this one works much better with my dry skin and leaves my skin feeling taken care of for hours, with no desire to apply any additional moisturizer. The focus of Lala's being oils, it makes sense.

But the cream is really not cheap, and there are other alternatives at lower costs, so I don't know if I will buy the full size.

Love this stuff

This stuff is great! It is so moisturizing for my dry skin and the packaging is genius, it gets every last drop out. I like to apply a hydrating serum on first to max amuse my hydration and then lock it in with the moisture. I am a big fan of oils in my skin care, so this 9 whipped oils is the best of both worlds for me. The cream is defiantly on the pricy side, but if you are looking to treat yourself and you love thicker cream for dry skin this will be a lovely experience for you every night!

Feels great on the skin

I tried a sample of this and fell in love. No strong smell, it absorbed so nicely into my skin, and moisturized wonderfully. I normally have very dry, flaky skin and this made my face feel amazing and no noticeable flakes. The big downfall to this product is the price. I cannot bring myself to purchase the full size item. Sadly I will not be using it again unless I get another sample because of the price.

Great Product

Drunk Elephant’s “Lala Retro Whipped Cream”, is a winner in my books! Easy to use with no mess. A little on the pricey side though. It does a “no scent” smell to it, if you know what I mean? My skin loves it, my pocketbook not so much.

Good overall moisturizer

Great moisturizer!!! leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. Have been using it for 2weeks now and though I haven't noticed any difference in firmness I do like the feeling it leaves on my face, I took one star off because as a combination borderline oily face girl this cream will not be my go to over the summer since it might be a bit too heavy during that time, but come wintertime I might let myself splurge a little.

It’s so-so!

I purchased this mainly because of the reviews on the Sephora website. I was very excited to try this however, I am very disappointed with the packaging. This comes in a pump dispenser and majority of the time the pump does not work :(

Nice cream

I have been using this skincare line for the last 2 weeks. This cream has a nice luxurious texture, but I wouldn't call it "whipped". I love that this brand uses natural and non toxic ingredients and does not add fragrances or dyes. Because of that, I think it has a weird smell, similar to canola oil. It moisturizes well and absorbs quickly. I don't think it is particularly more effective than other moisturizers I've used, but the owner of this brand suggests using only their products so that you know you're getting the full benefit, and no toxic ingredients. I will likely repurchase if sephora has a sale.

Great product, overpriced

I got this as a free sample with a Sephora order.

I was really looking forward to trying this because the brand is so hyped.

Given that, I found that although it is a great product, it isn't better than products half it's price. I did love the thickness of it and how my skin felt after using, it wasn't greasy, it looked great. It didn't cause my sensitive skin to break out or turn red. I just found that I couldn't really tell a difference between how this made my skin feel and how my usual night cream made my skin feel. Based on that, I can't recommend it to people because the price point is just so high. If it was lower, I would possibly buy this product as it does have an amazing consistency.

Really rich face cream, with a nice light scent, but no major anti-aging benefits. My skin is always hydrated in the morning, without being greasy which is a plus.
