Great app and it's free
Really good app to learn new languages. I'm currently using it to learn Spanish and I find that it's very easy with the app. It teaches you things in sections and is very to use. I was worried at first that the app would be difficult to maneuver but it's a piece of cake and it's very encouraging. Highly recommend if you want to learn a new language!
There are better apps out there, but this is cheap/'free'
I’ve been using DuoLingo this past year to learn Spanish and I will give it a three out of five overall. It’s not the most intuitive way to learn as they don’t start from the basics and scratch. You would think that they would start with basic pronunciation of the alphabet, numbers, etc, the same way we have all learned our first language. Instead they start with random vocabulary which is more geared towards travel perhaps. This is probably what the app is more leaning towards anyway as they focus on familiar phrases that you might use. After a year of use, I can say that I’m more comfortable with Spanish yet it would still be difficult for me to have a conversation. I’ve had better success with programs such as Rosetta Stone.
It is really good!
I think this is an affordable and easy app. I really like the way they teach you a new language. Not boring at all. Easy, fun, interesting! Perfect for children and adults. I am currently just using the free version but you can pay for premium features.
I love using this app!
I started using Duolingo about 2 weeks ago and I've had so much fun learning French. The daily activities are fun, engaging and effective. They keep me on my toes and I've been making a ton of progress!
Great For Learning New Things
It is perfect for basic learning and practicing. You need to be consistant and have to practice the pronunciation by self iniciative. It reminded me to practice and that was good, and you can do it anytime you want. 10 minutes daily used to extend to 20 for me because I got caught by it and it was much better because it ment I like it hehe
Duo Lingo is a great way to brush up on your languages. I would only recommend it for those who already have a foundation in a language, because it's really better for practice than from learning from scratch. Mind you, I did learn some rudimentary German; however, I would never be able to speak to a German person!
