Battery is already dead after 3 years

I loved this vacuum at first, but it has quickly become ineffective. The battery now only lasts 30 seconds and I have been waiting for a replacement from Dyson for over 6 months.

When it worked properly, the vacuum was very good at picking up hair and dust, but could not handle larger debris such as cat food.

The canister that holds the dirt is also very difficult to take off and clean. I find it is very poorly designed.

I would buy again

I have had this sweeper for over 6 years and it works as great as the day I got it. With 1 dog and 3 cats it really picks up the hair. I love the attachment to help vacuum my furniture. I loved it so much my mother and sister each bought one.

Must have for all pet owners

At first I didn't want to put the money out since they are on the expensive side but I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I have a husky German Shepherd and my house is covered in hair and since the purchase you can't even tell that he lives in the house.

Not really good for dog hair

And Dog hair was the reason for this choice! We have a medium collie/sheppard mix and he has lot's of hair and is always shedding. We chose this vacuum based on the lore of the Dyson. Well, it was a complete and utter failure. The bottom part is so narrow that the hair clogs within minutes. So, your vacuuming for 5 minutes and spending half an hour taking the whole bottom assembly apart to unclog the too small tube. Bottom line, not this item did not do what it was supposed to do.

We have a lot of animals (dogs and cats) in our house. We bought our Dyson several years back and I have to say we love! It always has suction and I do not get all the dust and dirt on my hands while trying to empty the canister. LOVE IT! If you have pets or even family members with long hair, this vacuum is fantastic. They do seem pricey at first. When you figure the years we have had ours and it needed to no repair and runs great; that makes it pay for itself. I have been through 4 vacuums at work in the meantime. We are now looking for another Dyson for there as well.

I love this one the only draw back is I have no great place to store it as it is a bit bigger than other vacuums I have had but I love the job it does

got one of these beauties with air miles points 4880, greatest vacuum ever had ...good suction and no dust blowing back into the room so im not stuffed up after vacuuming the floor...ball is too big to fit under the bed...otherwise all is good and easy to use...requires assembly.

Love my Dyson. Although I do find if you go beyond a few weeks of properly not cleaning out the canister.... It does lose suction. But all in all an amazing vacuum. Highly recommend

Don't own it yet, wish company would donate me one, as it would be a hudge help around the house. Even that I don't own one yet, I don't doubt its durability, reliability, effectiveness. Really would like one. Thumbs Up Dyson!
