Tasty healthy alternative to milk
I buy this milk sometimes to give our family an alternative to dairy products. This oat milk has smooth taste and blends well in smothies.
My kids are NOT fans of drinking it on its own but i can usually get them to eat it when i make oatmeal etc.
I retract my previous review of Earth Fresh Oat Milk
It was just confirmed to me that Earth Fresh - So Fresh Oat Milk has now received certification for Non GMO
I am so very pleased. It is a great tasting milk and also creamy enough to be great in coffee
I want to thank the company for becoming Non GMO
I don't miss cow milk
I'm on a dairy - free diet for my nursing infant with sensitivities. I love dairy... really... a lot.
Almond milk, while tolerable, was no substitute for "real" milk and I was sad.
Then my life changed. Oat milk. It's good. Creamy, mildly sweet, familiar... and this brand appeals to my national pride - Made In Canada.
It has so far worked in my cooking as well.
And I drink the bowl of milk after my cereal. That good. Maybe I won't go back.
Not the best, not the worst
For an unsweetened product, this product is extremely sweet and high sugar. There are non-dairy milk alternatives with better macros at the same price point. There is a 'slurry' like element to it as it is made with oat milk but it's not cloying. It's like a strong, strained oat milk with a lot of sugar.
so fresh almond- unsweetened vanilla
i loved it so rich and creamy.just as good as whole milk . tastes great on oatmeal and i used it instead of milk in my muffins and they turned out delicious.you can,t go wrong for only 35 calories in a cup plus all the vitamins and minerals. healthy choice for sure.
The New Formula is so much Creamier!
I buy soy milk for the kids, due to their lactose intolerance. Growing up on cows milk, and liking the higher percents(I typically use 2% for like cereal and stuff), I could never get over the taste of soy milk, even if it was flavoured. We have tried some of the other milk alternatives, trying to find something to work for the full family. We had tried almond milk in the past, and I did like it, but it was so thin. I didn’t really enjoy it in cooking nor with my cereal.
This does seem thicker, I do like it more than the ones we have tried in the past. I actually haven’t tested it with cereal yet(I just haven’t bought myself any, haha), but I have had a few glasses and can stand to drink it on its own.
I actually have been combining this with cottage cheese, in my smoothies. My smoothie maker needs a bit of a liquid to help keep things processing, and I usually use apple juice, orange juice or a bit of water. I started to substitute in this, and like the results.
The man even likes this one, so that is a bonus!
A good alternative for cows milk, even if you can handle the lactose.
Best in Class!
I cannot express enough how pleased I am with the unsweetened Oat Milk! If I could give it an even higher ranking I would. I love its creamy texture and the slight nutty oat taste. I drink it on its own and, to be candid, it's far more refreshing than cow or other plant-based milks. I use it in my tea and in cooking. I drank cow's milk most of my life and moved to soy a couple years ago but only for tea. I was never completely satisfied with soy. I'd tried almond, coconut and cashew as well but found them too sweet/high in sugar and the taste too strong. Oat milk is now a standard in my home and in my diet.
When compared with other milk (cow and some plant-based), oat milk is lower in fat and cholesterol ( and provides even more nutrients than 2% (Riboflavin, Zinc, B12).
You have a loyal consumer in me (2-3 cartons a week).
Thank you Earth's Own for introducing this!
Tasty surprise
Both my son and I enjoyed this very much. Loved that it was unsweetened. Added some to my coffee and it was amazing. Looking forward to trying the vanilla and will definitely purchase the original again
Great alternative
I tired this milk as an alternative to regular and almond milk. It’s great that even though it’s made from oats it’s still gluten free. The taste is pretty good. I like the creamy tastes it gives just like 2% milk would. There is a slight after taste of oat/wheat, if that even makes sense! I dont mind it at all. It’s not ideal for cooking but I would put in tea/ coffee and even in smoothies to add that extra creamy taste. The only downfall is that it’s quite high in calories compared to unsweetened almond milk. Double the calories actually. But for those who can not have almond/cashew/coconut etc... for whatever reason, this is pretty good.
