I wanted to get a battery charger because we go through so many in my household and batteries are not cheap to buy. I love that this set includes both AA and AAA batteries. I charged the batteries right out of the package and it took a few hours to do so. ( The light turns from red to green on the charger once fully charged).

We use these in everything from remote controls and children's toys to my boyfriends Xbox controllers. These batteries lasted just as long as the top brand batteries I normally buy without the crazy price tag everytime we need more. These need to be charged 2, 4, 6, 8 batteries at a time, the charger will not work if there is an uneven number of batteries being charged.

I purchased these at a discount from Amazon.ca but it's regularly priced at $31.98 and I'm super happy I ordered them, now I always have batteries on hand for a one time price.

Anyone who has electronics that still require batteries (and I have a lot) will understand why rechargeable batteries are so appealing. This charging station, which can charge both AA and AAA batteries, does a great job and has some extra quirks that put it above my last charger.

The first thing that you will notice is that this charger works quite fast and charges batteries to full faster than I had expected. This is because it has a 2.8V DC output, compared to 2.4 for most chargers. Another feature that I appreciate is the ability to charge batteries in pairs, but still being able to charge batteries if you only need to charge 2 or 4 rather than all 8 at once. The only thing you cannot do is charge an odd number of batteries or charge the two different types at once. It has lights for each pair of batteries which tell you if it's charging or if it's done, so you can tell at a glance when they are done.

One last thing that I really liked was the fact that this charger has protections in place to avoid overcharging or even damaging batteries. Older chargers I have used would warn that leaving the batteries in after they had charged could damage them, but this charger allows you to leave your batteries in without any risk.

    Pros:
    -Won't overcharge batteries.
-Not forced to charge all batteries at once.
    -Charges faster than similar chargers.
-Lights tell you when charging is done.
    - Ability to charge AA batteries or AAA batteries.

    Cons:
-Cannot charge odd number of batteries.
-Cannot charge AA and AAA at the same time.
    -Batteries not included.

Overall this charger does a great job, and I'm very happy with it.

Testing done in conjunction with 'EBL Pack of 8 AA 2800mAh Ni-MH Performance Rechargeable Batteries' which are NOT included and must be purchased separately.
