Fantastic Budget Liquid Shimmer Shadow

I didn't have high hopes for this product as I have extremely oily eyelids. Eyeshadow primers never work for me, and powder shadows last a few hours before creasing. Because of this, I never purchased a liquid shadow before and expected it to just slide into my crease like powder shadows typically do.

Boy, was I pleasantly surprised with this product! I honestly was shocked when i came home and noticed it was still in place after 12 hours of wear! I did place down concealer and translucent powder on my lid prior to application, and don't know if this helped with longevity.

I have porcelain skin and purchased the rose gold shade, and it shows up as a beautiful pink shimmer on my lids. It's important to let this fully dry down on your lids before blinking to make sure that the product doesn't move around. The plus side is that it dries down fairly quickly, but not so fast that you can't blend it in. The doe foot applicator is the best way to apply this product, and blend out the edges with a brush.

Overall, I was shocked by how amazing this product performed on my very oily eyelids. I literally had zero expectations, but this lasted longer on my lids than regular eye primer and powder shadows. I will purchase this product again and again, because it does not fade and the pay off is amazing!

Pretty Rose Gold Colour that fades throughout the day

This liquid eye shadow is in a plastic tube with a dofer applicator. The colour glides on well with applicator. It applies quite easily but also dries quickly so you have to work fast. This rose gold colour is subtle but buildable. Once applied, the colour is quite pigmented-looking, a very pretty metallic rose colour.

This colour is better applied with the applicator and then using your finger tips to blend in their colour than using a brush. You can use a brush to blend it out so there are no harsh lines around the crease. This formula is quite subtle when applied on its own and fades more throughout the day. I'm not sure if it's because my eyelids tend to get oily throughout the day as I have combination skin. I did use an eye shadow primer and dust with translucent powder before hand. However, this liquid shadow tends to hold up better if applied over powdered eye shadow. I applied three layers of liquid shadow along the eyelids to bring the look altogether followed by a dusting of translucent powder and setting spray at the end.

The liquid shadow didn't crease on me though but the colour did fade throughout the course of the day when using alone without other eye shadows underneath which would be ok as an every day wear shadow but not great for a glamorous night out.

Hated it

This product was not highly pigmented, didn't go on smoothly, was cakey & didn't last long on the eyes. Had to apply many coats to get a nice shade. Would not recommend unless you like very nude shade of rose gold.

This is a shimmery liquid eyeshadow. These are part of the aqua line, so they are very blendable. I don't find that these are as opaque as the liquid matte shadows, but they are very shimmery and sheer out nicely. These also work as shimmery highlighters. The staying powder of these is decent, though the color is not as vibrant after a couple of hours, and these also don't dry down completely matte, and have a slightly tacky finish.
