All the shades are indeed matte, and these do dry down to a matte finish. Staying power is decent compared to other elf shadows. They work well as eyeshadow bases, and are good as eyeshadow for a quick eye look. The blushing rose shade works great as a liquid lipstick if you can get over the smell.
