looks good going on, doesn’t wear well

i loved this mascara when i first put it on. it lengthens and volumizes as well as any great mascara does. however, after only a couple hours of wearing, it was smudging under my eyes and leaving crumbles all over my cheeks. not a great look. i need a mascara that lasts all day and doesn’t just look good in the moment.
