Most of these eyeshadows are pretty pigmented, which works well for a smokey look. But a couple of the shades are less pigmented, and these tend to be the matte ones. I do think a primer is necessary for this, as a couple shades are also on the powdery side. The included eyeliner is ok, and it works in a pinch, but doesn't last a super long time. I also don't really pay attention to the diagrams, but they are helpful for beginners. I don't really care for the mirror, I'd rather have more eyeshadows or primer in that space.

almost everything from ELF is worth it especially their eyeshadows. I have this book and it is very inexpensive and gives instructions on how to apply!

Great product! You get a great selection of colours that you can do a ton of different looks with! the shadows themselves are lovely and soft, making them super easy to blend and they are all unbelievably pigmented! you really get your moneys worth! a great set to bring with you when your traveling because it really gives you all the options you need for both day and night!

I picked this up for $9 at Winners, which is a great price considering there are 12 shadows, 1 useable liner, a mirror and a crappy brush :-) It's also magnetized, so it stays shut, with a permanent plastic sheet that flips over top when not in use. The case is also a hard board type, which keeps the products safe when traveling.

It's got some lighter earth tones - a shimmery white and a matte flesh tone - which are good for highlighting, although not very pigmented, 3 blue shades from lighter to darker, 3 purples from lighter to darker, 3 greys/silvers from lighter to darker, and a matte black. While some of the colors are extremely pigmented, others are not. However, enough are quite pigmented that it is a very useable palette, especially for the price. The biggest problem I have are with the 2 lighter blue shades and the matte flesh colored shade. You really gotta pack them on to get decent payoff. You've also got to wear a base under these, or be prepared for a mess which disappears half way through the day, but *with* a good base, they definitely stay on.

Worth what I paid for it, although it is not my favorite palette. Might buy it again if I ever use it up, which is unlikely. But I don't regret buying it as I will get some use out of it for sure.

I am in love with this palette. Its got from light warm shadows to dark grays and browns, which allows you to create looks such as neutrals or the famous smoky eye. They are long lasting, very pigmented, easy to blend, interesting packaging.
I was very surprised with the quality of these eye shadows the moment i put them on , for such a low price. Im pretty sure the low price is one of the marketing strategies but hey! there is nothing wrong with that.
I would absolutely recommend this product . I ve been using it everyday since the time I bought them.
