This eyeliner is by far one of the cheapest eyeliners out there. But there are other gel/cream eyeliners around this price point that perform better. (essence, wet n wild) That being said, this does do a pretty good job, it lasts a relatively long time, has pretty good pigmentation, and glides on the lid smooth enough. There is also a very wide color range, which doesn't exist for other gel/cream eyeliners. My issue with this product is how quickly it dries out. The packaging isn't the greatest to prevent drying out, as it all plastic, as opposed to glass with other gel/cream eyeliners.
I love this eyeliner I use every time there is a party. It's an awesome eyeliner and it has an even more than awesome price 3 dollars!
The reviews for this were amazing saying it was dark and it doesn't budge and it's dupe for mac's blacktrack fluidline. Yeah... I wasn't that impressed. I rated the price so high because it was $3 which is a great price.
I didn't find it to be as opaque as some of the reviews made it sound, I found I had to go over my liner to make it opaque black. Also the staying power was horrendous on me. I wore it in a slight wing to a dinner party, so the temperature was pretty standard not hot or humid. I didn't dance or do anything strenuous and my makeup was on for maybe 3-4hours. My eyeliner smudged like crazy, the corner of my eye was full on raccoon mode. Maybe I put too much on to make it the dark black but I did set the liner with black eyeshadow.
The liner was very creamy so it is easy to apply but really the staying power did it in for me.
It's hard to complain about a product that is $3. My eye shape is prone to smudge in the outer corner with just about every eye product but this product was far worse then anything I've used previously.
I LOVE E.L.F!!! I was at Target one day, shopping for a new eyeliner, and I came across an end cap loaded with E.L.F (eyeslipsface) products. I found that they offered a cream eyeliner and an eyeliner brush, each for only $1!!! I couldn't pass up the opportunity, and being someone who loves trying new things I thought why not! Well, since this day, I have returned to Target and purchased every E.L.F brush (most which are only $1, although they do offer some for $3), and many of the other products they offer. The cream eyeliner is perfect, it isn't chunky like some other brands tend to be, and it's a great size container, it will last me quite a while! I originally bought the black, but have since gone back and gotten the other colors. They are all very pigmented, so you don't have to worry about reapplying a few hours later. Everyone should try this out!
everything about this eyeliner is amazing. its the cheapest cream eyeliner out there, of course, and it works better than some by MAC and other brands! I use it almost everyday and i will repurchase for as long as it is sold. I have it in black and it is very pigmented and stays on all day. It is very easy to make your line as thin or thick as you want it to be. you really cant beat this product!
I really love this gel liner!!!!!!! I like the fact that its very black, goes on smoothly, is very affordable, and lasts all day. I would definetely recommend it to everyone c'mon its only $3 and it is worth the try its not like its alot of money : )
well finally opened my eyeliner. black. went on so nice. used my Bobbie Brown liner brush since ELF does not give you a brush when you buy this. no fuss no mess. love it. will be a long time user of this. also got it in midnight will be trying that very soon.for [$] you cannot go wrong. just as good as the high priced liners even better . thanks ELF for a wonderful product. cannot see how anyone can spend alot for makeup when your products are the tops.
My Opinion:
I love this product so much! I've tried other brands before, however, those prices really scares me. elf cream eyeliners are very inexpensive and well worth the price! Put it on, let it dry, it doesn't smudge or fade. I've tried putting it on my hands, and when it dries I purposely try to smudge it, it doesn't smudge unless you put a lot of force into it.. which I doubt anyone would. I've also tried the water test, put some on my hand, couple of drops of water on top, then try to smudge it again, it does come off, however, you do need to put a little force into it. $3 for something like this is well worth the price! I was thinking of buying around 10, however, I did realize that they won't be discontinuing the product and I really don't need that many... as one pot will last for quite some time. Why buy the $20 products when the elf $3 pots are well worth the price. I have it in black and ivory, the black is AMAZING! I'm a bit iffy on the ivory though, because it is not as creamy as the black. It's a must buy!
