Never Again

Very bad experience. Stung my eyes so painfully and anytime I would blink, my lashes would stick together. It never dried and was always sticky. Couldn’t believe the amount of chemicals on their ingredients lists. I returned every product I purchased and would never purchase from such a toxin filled brand again.

Perfect back up or everday mascara

Bought as my usual mascara was out of stock, and was not disappointed - low price point and decent quality. Not too thick or thin, brush is small which works for me!

I don't know if the mascara was old when I purchased it or it is just really bad. It was all dried up into a big flaky clump that was completely unusable

This mascara had a really thin consistency, and was really natural, not a ton of lengthening or volumizing. The issue with this though, was that it would flake off and irritate my eye.

I bought the E.L.F. Waterproof Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara from their new studio line because I had run out of my usual mascara and this one had a very low price ($3.00 USD). I was a little skeptical at first because my previous experience with E.L.F's regular dual ended mascara had been a negative one, but I figured, at such a low price, I wouldn't cry a river if it turned out to be awful. Instead, I was lucky to find a new favorite product.

This mascara accentuates my lashes and really does lengthen them like no other I've tried before. I love the way it separates each lash and it does not clump up at all. I have not had any problems with it flaking or smudging either and it did not irritate my eyes whatsoever. There are two shades to choose from (brown and black) and I bought mine in black. At first I thought it would be too harsh for my skin tone, since I am fair skinned and usually wear brown mascara. I was happy that it did not make me look overdone, but actually complimented my eyes.

The packaging is very sleek and makes it look refined - easy to carry in your makeup bag as well as it is rather thin. The handle is very long, but the applicator's wand is short, which I find gives me more control as I am applying the mascara. As for the claim that it volumizes lashes, I feel that it does give some extra volume, but not an extreme amount. It is buildable though. This will not give you really dense black lashes, so it's probably better for someone who likes a more natural effect.

When I tried removing the mascara, I found that even though it was waterproof, it came off more easily than my other waterproof brands. However, to make sure that all of the product is off your lashes, I would still use an oil based eye makeup remover. I do wish that they would include more product in the tube as it is small. I would purchase this mascara again and I do think that it will become one of my staple products.
