Pretty good
I discovered this recently as I received it to try from the brand. I haven’t used it for long (only about 3 weeks) but so far it’s treating my skin quite well. It is very affordable and in my opinion worth what you pay for. I will report back soon.
A bit pricey for ELF, but still worthwhile
To be honest, I was quite hesitant to try this given the relatively high price tag among other ELF products ($14 USD at Target). However, I've always been curious about these bubble masks, and my skin has generally behaved with most ELF products so I thought it was worth a try.
The dispensing method is interesting, and I'm not sure if its something I'd rave much about. You press down on the top, and then the spout in the center dispenses product "upwards". This is great to keep the rest of the product clean (no need to dip fingers in anything), but makes for an awkward transition between container and hand. You kind of have to scoop it out with your fingers, but leaving some residue behind on the push-top.
Application of the mask is quite simple. Apply to face in circular motion and bubbles will start to form on your face. The mask is not very fluid so I found myself having to apply a couple pumps of products to cover my face. While you're waiting, the bubbles will start to dissolve and it dries down into a near-clear film on your face (that's when you know you're ready to remove). The residue is not terribly difficult to remove; I usually get most of it off by splashing water on my face.
It does leave the skin feeling refreshed and plump. However, I'm not sure if I'd trade my usual Aloe mask for this right now. While it does make my skin feeling quite clean also, it just doesn't so all that much more to justify the additional costs (aloe masks can run for less than $10 without sales).
Conclusion: Lots of fun, great to try with a lower-cost brand. Nothing terribly magical.
Bubbles on your face!
I've had a few friends rave about the bubble masque and how it bubbles up so much that it was hilarious - I just had to try it myself! I was expecting it to bubble up like crazy but this one didn't bubble up that much. It was quite ticklish at some points of the mask, and my skin does feel quite clean afterwards! Price is right!
Pretty decent!
I didn't have high hopes for this mask, but was very pleasantly surprised. The mask is a clear gel that goes on easily. It has a stronger scent, but nothing too bad. As the mask foams it does make your skin itch terribly - it took all my will not to rinse it off in the first 5 minutes. It took a bit to rinse off, but when I finally had all traces of the mask removed, my skin did feel nice and smooth but didn't really notice any hydrating.
For the price, it's an OK mask, but those with sensitive skin beware that it may irritate your skin.
Luckily, dispensing the gel is easy, & just a small amount of gel produces a lot of bubbles for my face & neck. For the first application, I kept it on for 10 minutes, and the 2nd time, the bubbles were long gone after 5 minutes, and my skin was left with the gel remaining, which I massaged in and rinsed off. The results are a sleek, smooth feeling face. At a cost of $18 CAD, the Hydrating Bubble Mask is more of a mini luxury for me. I use it once a week & think it's best for dry winter months.
