Worth The Splurge
Admittedly, at $25. CAD/container, it's definitely a splurge but I afforded myself that luxury meeting my "Feel Good, Want It" category. It works. For me, of course.
I use it sparingly and at night time only; afterall, it's an intensive lip repair balm and, given the cost, I'm not going to be dabbling this on as freely as I'd like during the day: not necessary.
Only a little bit is required, so you'll get your money's long worth here.
I apply it in the evening and my lipskin is drenched in "Hallelujah, Thank You!"
Yes, there're much cheaper alternatives (i.e. Blistex) but, as mentioned, this is a Feel Good, Want It splurge that I'll gift my lips with at bedtime when my intensive, nightly therapy ritual commences.
Enjoy!
My quick fix for chapped lips!
I usually use general lip moisturizers randomly throughout the week. But during those dry winter months when my lips become extra chapped, I quickly use the 8-hour cream at the first onset of dry lips and overnight I am good as new! I even got my husband hooked!
I was first introduced to this product by my mother in law. She swears by it. It is pricey but there is a surprising amount in the container and it lasts for a long time (I have had mine for 8 months and still have 1/4 of it left.)
The one thing I don't like is that it comes in a container. I hate sticking my finger in and getting the product under my nails so I use a brush or Qtip to get it out. It appears hard and waxy but actually goes on nice and smooth.
I have struggled with dry lips since moving to Alberta. Especially in the dry winter months. This product is the only thing that has worked for me. A few times a week, I apply a bit before bed and wake up with hydrated, moisturized lips. I have even used it a few times on my nose when the skin has become chapped due to a cold.
