This is the first book in the Katie Chandler series. This is by far one of my most favourite romantic urban fantasy novels. I tell people that it's like the chick lit version of Harry Potter and even friends who don't love Harry Potter or this genre of novels have fallen in love with the series and especially with the main guy, Owen Palmer.
The premise of the story is that Katie is totally and entirely immune to magic, which seems like it wouldn't be that much fun, given that she works in an enchanted world, but she ends up saving the world a lot. The book is so fun and easy to read, it's great for a light beachy, vacationy read!
