Just as good as name brand for a great price
I was hesitant to purchase these because I was worried that they wouldn’t be as good as the name brand cotton swabs. I’m so happy that I tried these though! I purchased that 1500 count pack for only $7.97 and was pleasantly surprised. These cotton swabs feel and look exactly like the name brand ones. There is plenty of cotton on the tips and I would actually go as far to say these are better than name brand for a much better price.
Good
A little expensive for swaps. I can get a pack much cheaper at the dollar store but what I like about these is the outstanding quality. It doesn't come off like the ones from the dollar store.
Comparable to name brand
I've tried several different brands of cotton swabs. Many were a huge disappointment. I came across Equate during a shopping trip. I was pleasantly surprised. They matched the name brand in many ways. Firm stick and a fair amount of cotton. They don't bend while using-which is something I look for.
Effective & Cheaper With Some Downfalls
I decided to give these a try after I found them at Wal Mart for almost half the price for the same amount offered in the the Q-tips brand pack. I would say they are pretty good and I would buy them again, as I don't use cotton swabs all that often.
Some downfalls I found, compared to Q-tips are:
1) Some of the cotton on the ends are coming off or shredding, which makes me a bit hesitant to use some of them to clean my ears. I usually need to look through to grab the ones where little bits of cotton are not shredding off.
2) There is not as much fluffy cotton on the ends. This does not tend to bother me, but it may bother others, so I think it's worth noting.
Very cheap cotton swabs I use to use qtips but switched to these recently, there good for ears ,cleaning up nail polish mistakes as well ,there is lots of cotton on the stick which is good cause I find some cotton swabs dont have much
For the price, there is not much reason to complain on the little shortcomings this brand has compared to Q-Tips, for example. Just for informational purposes: There is not as much cotton on some of the tips and sometimes bits of the cotton will shred/shed off. There seems to be a bit of inconsistency with the tips; that really is the only big difference that I notice. There is slightly more give to the structure of them, but I kind of like that so it is less likely that I poke too deep trying to maneuver around in my ears. Overall they get the job done without too much fuss and cost less than competitors. They are also available in a large number of stores so you do not normally have to run around searching because they are not stocked – if they happen to be sold out, you can find a place nearby that will also carry them.
I've purchased these Equate Cotton Swabs quite a few times because they were cheaper than other cotton swabs but some of these are missing some of the cotton on them
I bought these once instead of name brand, and it was bad. They felt rough, and like there wasn't enough padding at the tips. Cheaper than the originals, but reduced quality.
These equate cotton swabs work great. I use them for my ears, makeup and cleaning. The price is great and they're comparable to qtips.
