This is one of the better baby carriers out there, due to the fact that it distributes the weight evenly over your hips and doesn't cause backaches. I love this carrier because it also has little pockets that are easy to reach for your phone and keys. I have worn this sling for many hours and find that I am not sore at all. Great investment for baby.
I liked the ergo. It gave a good seat and great positioning for the baby and my toddler also. The only fault is that the back is not very high so as I had larger children it did not get as much use as some of the other buckle carriers offer.
I found the back carry was easy once you got the hang of placing baby onto your back there are lots of sling libraries you can visit who can help if you struggle and lots of videos on the internet you can watch. hipscoot, superman or santas toss. Baby loved to be on the back he could see everything at eye level.
There was comfort on the shoulders on long walks. I did find doing a front carry harder to do as my son got bigger as an effort to do the chest strap up. Also the carrier does sit lower on the back I prefer a higher carry but this is personal preference.
The carrier is not too expensive you also have the option to buy a bag to put your belongings into that attaches. The sleephood is great for when they nod off which is fairly often and helps support their head.
All in all if you are looking for buckles this is of great quality and design than some of the heavily advertised brands.
I tried on the Beco Butterfly, the Boba 3G, and the Ergo, and I found that the Ergo was the most comfortable. It is definitely a bit pricey, but now that I've used it a few times, I think it's worth the splurge. My 10 month old son hates being strapped in or contained in anything, but he doesn't mind being carried in the Ergo on my back. He even fell asleep in it, which never happens! The sleeping hood worked great to keep his head from flopping around. I also have some serious back problems, and this doesn't hurt my back when I carry him in it. It's quite comfortable. I also have a Snugli, which I've used a few times (mostly when he was younger) and it is terrible. My shoulders and back start aching within minutes. The Ergo is worth the money.
I love this because i find that i feel safe in carring my baby I am not fond of the price and i second guessed even buying this but i didn't feel safe carring around my little bundle of joy in a cheap carrier so i asked myself is your babys life worth paying a little bit more for this and OF COURSE it was so in order for me to feel that my baby was safe i found that the money was well worth it also i passed it along and that made it even more worth the money
I have been quite happy with my Ergo carrier. I love that it sits on my hips and takes the pressure of baby weight off my back. The only downfall is baby can't face forward in it, but other than that I love it. Easy to pack around.
