Great simple carrier - does what it needs to
I found this carrier at a second hand shop. It’s a great simple carrier for basic needs. My husband who’s 6ft and me at 5’5, use it both quite comfortably.
I do find that at times it can be tricky to put on by myself, especially with the clip in the back. I’m not that flexible but I manage.
For long walks, this carrier is quite comfortable and my 2 month old just loves it. He sleeps really well and comfortably.
May be missing a component.
I really wanted an Ergo Baby 360 Carrier but the price was a little too high for me. I found the Ergo Baby Original Carrier cheaper and decided to purchase it instead. It looks and feels just as nice as the 360. Somethings that attracted me besides being closer to my price range was that it grows with your baby/child for years and it stated that it didn’t require the infant insert that can be purchased separately.
My LO is 4 months, totally healthy, average weight/length and is just now able to fit into it properly. Which was disappointing since it was advertised right on the box that the insert was not needed.
I recommend this product if your baby is 14 pounds and up. Or try out the ones that have an insert.
Also, be aware that this carrier does keep your LO warm and is not a good idea in summer if you are somewhere 80 degrees and up.
The Ergo Original Baby Carrier was the first soft structured carrier I bought; and we loved it for when my son was small. But as he got older and his torso lengthened we felt we weren't getting a nice fit with it, so we sold it for another carrier that had a taller back panel. Great carrier for the price point though!
The only carrier you need, from infant to toddler. Nice & easy design without a lot of bells/whistles that add bulk or chances to break. Packs down relatively small for packing into a moderately sized backpack for emergency carrier for tired toddlers. Easy to wash & quality materials although colour faded after a few washes.
This carrier is great. Comfortable, easy to use and attractive. I've heard some parents have difficulty clipping the back straps, but since they can be moved up and down I don't have any issues.
