A friend recommended I try this liner and at $4 it wasn't a big risk if I didn't like it. I don't just like it, I love it! It stays put all night and never smudges. I use it over urban decay's primer potion to keep it in place. I have a very hard time getting liners to stay put so this is a really big deal for my lids. I won't go back to the more expensive alternatives.

this product isnt the best, it goes on really well but later in the day starts to look greasy and smudges. it is also very hard to remove, you could defiantly buy a better one.

This eyeliner is truly waterproof, budgeproof, long lasting, pigmented, smearproof and creamy. It is at a really great price, and it has around 3g of product, which is standard for other eyeliners. This honestly lasts so well I have trouble getting it off. The only downside is that there are only two colors for this. I would love to see a brown and a blue.

I bought this to practise with, as I have no experience with liquid or gel liners and want to start using them. This is so inexpensive, and it works really well. I use a small angled e.l.f. brush to apply it with, and as long as I work somewhat quickly it goes on smooth and very opaque - a rich true black that dries pretty matte. If I try to keep going over spots it can start to get flaky, but otherwise it's very easy to use.
I bought this over a month ago and it doesn't seem to be drying out at all yet, and this little pot will probably last me quite a while.
For someone new to liners like this, it works amazingly well and is very long lasting (you definitely need a bit of makeup remover at the end of the day to get it off, and it doesn't flake much if at all during wear). It would be sweet if Essence came out with different colours of this - I would definitely check something like that out! Overall, this is a great deal and I definitely recommend it.

Best gel eyeliner I've tried so far. It's INCREDIBLY creamy, and really does last all day. Haven't actually tested it, but as far as I'm concerned this is pretty waterproof. Therefore, it can be difficult to remove. That's the only flaw. But with a little makeup remover, it's all good. You'll never have to worry about it smudging or running, that's for sure!

Note: I heard this has been discontinued for 2014, but I'm still seeing it in stock at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. Stock up while you can! Definitely don't pass this up.

Wow! What an inexpensive alternative to other drugstore gel eyeliners!! Went on a trip and forgot my makeup bag and instead of repurchasing everything, I opted to buy a lot of Essence products . I have repurchased this twice now! Such a great bargain if you can find it in your colour ( black usually is sold out at my local drugstore ) It stays on for a long time and usually doesn't smudge! I recommend this product - and for the price , who wouldn't ?!

I found the essence product line about 6months ago and just love it. It creates beautiful full lines, and has a range of colors. The prices are very affordable!!!! I give it 2thumbs up

This is my holy grail gel eyeliner. It kicks everything else out of the water, including M.A.C fluidline. It's incredibly pigmented, waterproof, lasts all day, doesn't smudge, glides on effortlessly, does not dry out and is only $4. It should be illegal for something this good to be so affordable.

This gel liner is seriously perfect! It's waterproof, so it stays put all day and is a perfect pitch black color. I switched from using the ELF cream eye liner to this, and I love it 10x more. Also even though it's waterproof, it isn't hard to remove at the end of the day.
