My new favourite mascara!

This mascara added both volume and length to my very sparse lashes! I have have tried many different mascaras over the years and this one beats them all. This $5 mascara gave better results than the $30 ones I’ve previously tried. I have already bought a back up for when this tube is empty!

first everything from essence is cruelty free. this mascara is 4.99 at shoppers and is one of the best ive used. it goes on like a dream great for volume and length. I do prefer the purple version's brush but they are basically the same other then that. Honestly my favourite mascara right now. you can't go wrong at 5 dollars. Absolutely awesome!

Great value, good performance

I saw a review of this product on Reddit and after seeing the price at Shoppers, I went for it. Amazing prize for a mascara! This product works well but can only put one or two coats on or it will look chunky/spider leggish. I have tried it with a different wand and it works well, lashes look super long. Packaging is a bit tacky but don’t judge a book by its cover!

Best Bang for your Buck, Better than High End

I bought this mascara after seeing multiple posts about it on a make up group and it blew me away. For $5 this is the best mascara you will use. And it's not just good for the price, it's better than most high end mascaras like Too Faced, Tarte and Dior. The brush threw me off, but the formula is incredible, it gives you an actual false lash effect without clumping. This is all I wear these days!

Great Mascara, for a few weeks

The value and price of this mascara is awesome! And the product is great, doesn't leave your lashes clumpy, goes one nice and smooth...for about the first three weeks. After that, the mascara becomes hard and chunky and difficult to apply. I do like the product, just with I got more life out of it!

Not for me

I've heard great things about essence make up - it's affordable and supposedly high quality. One time when I was travelling, I misplaced my mascara and decided to pick this up as a quick replacement. Unfortunately, the brush does not work with my short Asian lashes - I end up getting more mascara on my lids than on my lashes ...

Pros:
- cheap / affordable

Cons:
- brush is not good for short lashes (the bristles are short, so in order to get the product on your lashes, you need to bring it real close to your eye)
- brush does not "comb" out lashes, making it clumpy (again a fault with the brush, because it is not staggered, it is difficult to comb out short lashes without touching your lids)

I have yet to find a drugstore brand of mascara that works well for me ... so I am still looking. For now, I love using Benefit They're Real and MUFE Extravagant Lashes. Other mascaras that I would also recommend (aka runner ups) are Lancome Hypnose Drama, YSL Babydoll, Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir.

WORKS SO WELL

I purchased this mascara in waterproof. It costs $4.99 at Shoppers and the Superstore. What caught my attention was definitely the cute packaging. I love the wand because it doesn't clump up your eyelashes, and you can apply more than one coat for a dramatic eye. It certainly adds volume and length.

I would recommend that you give it a try; I do not think that you would be disappointed.

princess of mascara

I was persuaded to try it from a you tube video. so glad that I did. Amazing results. Really lengthens and separates the lashes. Price is ridiculously low but the quality is equal to high cost mascara. Applicator is easy to hold and use.

Amazing and so affordable!

I was so pleasantly surprised by this mascara. I wasn't expecting to be wowed given the $4.99 price but it has quickly become my go to mascara, replacing Diorshow. I love it!
Gives me gorgeous, long, dark flared lashes that look like falsies with just two coats. Wears all day with minimal smudging or flaking. Easy to remove.
Pretty much perfect.

Best affordable mascara

For a mascara that is so cheap, it performs like a high-end mascara! Adds lots of volume, holds a curl, and hardly ever flakes on me. I feel like it does clump easily, but wiping the wand off before application helps this problem (and it's so cheap I don't feel like I'm wasting product). Would definitely recommend to anyone!
