Not a Dupe

So many bloggers claim this is a total dupe for Better than Sex mascara from Too Faced. I am here to tell you it is most certainly not. IT clumped up on me and I had to wipe splotches of black from under my eyes all day long. I cant recommend this and wont be repurchasing it. There are tons of better drug store options. I do not get the hype of this one at all.

Flaky and does not stay on

This product flakes like crazy. I would wear for an hour and it would fall right off my lashes onto my face. Also does not give a lot of volume or length.

Not for me

I've heard great things about essence make up - it's affordable and supposedly high quality. One time when I was travelling, I misplaced my mascara and decided to pick this up as a quick replacement. Unfortunately, the brush does not work with my short Asian lashes - I end up getting more mascara on my lids than on my lashes ...

Pros:
- cheap / affordable

Cons:
- brush is not good for short lashes (the bristles are short, so in order to get the product on your lashes, you need to bring it real close to your eye)
- brush does not "comb" out lashes, making it clumpy (again a fault with the brush, because it is not staggered, it is difficult to comb out short lashes without touching your lids)

I have yet to find a drugstore brand of mascara that works well for me ... so I am still looking. For now, I love using Benefit They're Real and MUFE Extravagant Lashes. Other mascaras that I would also recommend (aka runner ups) are Lancome Hypnose Drama, YSL Babydoll, Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir.
