Is Essie Cruelty Free?

I was under the impression that Essie is a cruelty free brand when I purchased this product. However, I scanned the product barcode using the Beagle Freedom Project Cruelty Cutter app and learned Essie Nailcare Good As New Ceramide Nail Perfector Treatment from parent company L'Oreal is NOT cruelty free.I refuse to knowingly purchase products tested on animals!
