Love Love Love this nail polish - i purchased "A CUT ABOVE" which is pink. I have to say i apply 3-4 coats with a final top coat to give it shine. This nail polish lasts due to the layering of the sparkles with 3-4 coats. I would definitely purchase multiple colors if the drugstore had more selection. Gives your nails that wow sparkle. I get compliments all of the time. I have to say that because I layer it thick, it's a little more work to remove if you need to. 15/10 stars. It's awesome

I'm a total essie freak to the point where I can't leave a drug store without 2 or 3.... or 4.
I go through bottles of Luxeffect polish like it's water.

love this polish, I bought the as gold as it gets, looks great ontop of my polishes. I also used it as a stand alone polish, it gives my nails a really beautiful shimmery look. and it looks awesome.

Love this polish. It lasts and has great glitter coverage. I have yet to be disappointed by an Essie product!!
My only regret, not buying more colours!

From the moment I saw this nail polish in the store I knew I had to have it. The colours are so rich and I always get compliments on my nails when I am wearing it! Not to mention the Luxeffects top coat makes my regular nail polish last a few days longer! Another great product from Essie!

It's really no secret that I love glitter, the sparklier the nail the better in my book! The only problem with a lot of drug-store polishes is that the glitter topcoats often require you to really "fish" em out to get good coverage. But NOT SO with the Essie Luxe Effects. Each swipe brings forth a lot of gorgeous glitter, and the one I use, A Cut Above, has a nice mix of small glittery and hexagons to really enhance your nails. I've used this over a creamy white coat to make Easter Egg nails, over a dark coat to add a bit of girlish flash to a vampy nail, it's a really great effect polish to have in your arsenal. You won't be able to look away.

Set In Stones Essie Luxeffects is beautiful , I get compliments on it non stop when at work. It is a shimmery silver glitter dots that shine perfectly, It goes on smoothly 3 coats gives such a beautiful effect. I highly recommend essie nail polishes

Set in Stones is a perfect silver glitter polish. I love the different sizes and shapes of the glitter, it makes the glitter a bit more glamorous I think.
I don't have a lot of experience with Essie polishes, other than their base and top coats, but I really enjoy using this polish. It applies well - there is tons of glitter in there so you don't have to apply coat after coat to build it up, BUT it doesn't go on too thick either. You can easily do a simple top coat over any colour you like, or make a glittery gradient, or even just use it on it's own.
This polish dries quickly, and it also doesn't feel too gritty on your nails, so you don't necessarily need an actual top coat on this. It also doesn't take too much more extra effort to remove, like some glitter polishes.
Overall this is a great polish to have because it can be used so many ways, and the quality is excellent.

I received the essie luxeffects nailpolish in the color "as gold as it gets" from Birchbox in March. I'm overall satisfied with the product. The gold doesn't really show up on it's own and makes white polish look yellow, but over black and other colors it looks great. The price is on par with other high end polishes, but I prefer to not spend $8 on a single nail polish.
