If you want a true Matte, this isn't it.

I bought several different Matte Top Coats, as I was trying to make a certain look, a water drop detail on top of a matte nail.

I got the Essie Matte About You, as it was highly recommended.

It does matte, but not as well as the Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat. This left me rather surprised, as the Essie one is twice as much.

I purchased this for doing matte nail art designs. It works okay but you get a lot of shrinking with the polish and smudging as well. If using you need to seal in your nail art using a fast drying top coat and then wait for that to dry completely before adding this matte top coat on top to mattifying the design without smudging your hard work on your nail art designs. Probably wouldn't purchase again as I wasnt that impressed but it was a decent mattifying topcoat, I wasn't blown away but it's no worse than any others I've tried either.
