I absolutely loved this book. Jonathan did amazing at putting the story forth from a childs perspective. Really love the different view and perspective of this tragedy. I love all of his novels but so far this is my favorite, I couldn't put it down!
I recently read this before watching the film (which was a pretty good interpretation). This is a story about loss & recovery, and a super-genius 9 year old inventor ;) I found part of this book difficult to get through, and had to put it down a few times before I finished. The main character has little idiosyncrasies that you need to try to understand throughout the book, but is well written for the most part considering it's from the POV of a 9 year old. I wasn't a huge fan of the subplot, but I think I would definitely go back and read this again after having seen the movie. You just can't not love little Oskar.
