I enjoy the ability to communicate with friends and family even though I don't see them all the time.
It's nice to keep track of what's going on in life, and be able to help them celebrate and mourn as they do.
Love seeing the world through the eyes of friends and family, is a way to stay in touch with loved ones
I don't use my FB for the typical reasons. I use it to get all the freebies and samples that are posted on it.
We don't live near either sides of our family. The distance can make sharing memories being made with our girls hard. Sure we travel home to visit very often, at least once a month, but Facebook fills in those times in between. It allows us to share photos and videos back and forth, so nobody misses a thing. They were able to see the first time our girls walked, hear them talk and sing, and see our day to day adventures. It has helped us stay close.
I really love using facebook. It really helps you keep in touch with your friends which can be hard with a busy life.
Facebook has really morphed into something that I solely use for planning events and remembering birthdays. Without it, I wouldn't find out whats going on, but I also don't think it's kept me as connected anymore to friends in the same way real life has.
I think that facebook has it's strength's and weaknesses.
1) I love facebook because it allows me to keep in touch with people i meet on my many travel adventures to different countries. I wouldn't be able to have such close contact with them without it
2) I love that facebook keeps me connected to friends and family back home, since i moved with the time difference it's hard to always call but we can share things any time online.
3) It's a great source of information for what's going on I follow great blogs - companies - businesses - and news stations to receive updated information on the go.
4) I love being able to share pictures and see pictures people share of nature/family ect.
I think the downfall is the spam you receive and the lack of privacy because the company basically sells your information. It can be invasive if you share too much information.
