I would recommend using the facebook app, but only because using the online browser is a pain in the ass.
With the app I find if you dont have a real good phone the app lags a lot and exits, restarts, doesn't work half the time, etc. It's a horrible app and with messanger you basically need this app anyways to chat with people so not having a facebook app is pointless

I used to be on the Facebook app all the time. It's a great way to connect with new and old friends. There are plenty of links and groups you can access for food and shopping, buy and sell and mom groups. It is an amazing app.

I probably spend way too much time on Facebook, but I really like some of the features! The best part is keeping in touch with family and friends who I don't get to see all the time, especially those who live on the other side of the world! The messenger feature is great too, but I don't love that it's a seperate app too - just another thing to run the battery/data down on my phone. I also really like the 'On This Day' feature which lets you see past posts from that day and relive some great memories, and remember some of the sad ones, too.

Addiction level = I need help.
I love everything about Facebook and have had an account for years! Its like my personal photo storage. I love that I can keep in contact with friends & family that live miles away. I like staying connected with them through their updates and pictures. The privacy features are great too. I like the fact that you can change your settings and prevent the entire world from following you.

I rate this as 4 Stars overall because on a personal level, I am so inundated with advertising in my news feed (not sponsored adds) that it drives me crazy. I really can't see what I really DO want to see. Albeit a free platform for individuals & businesses alike it would be nice(r) to have more control.

That being said - as a business owner, I like the opportunity to advertise and promote myself. BUT feel that I shouldn't have to take all these "courses" or learnings to figure out how to not WASTE so much money in that advertising. There seems to be elite status given to those who HIRE out someone to do their marketing instead of the small business person being able to control that and not pay for clicks that do not produce the requirement in the add.

    Overall happy with it though.

Who doesn't like facebook? Or rather, who isn't addicted to looking at it? This app makes it SO easy to access facebook to do all your stalking, uploading pictures, chatting and looking through groups. I use the mobile app way more than the actual website. I love facebook. It's a great way to kill time.

I love this app, it's one of the best things on the planet, for the most part it's free, unless you want to buy extra tokens and what not for games, it's a great way to contact and keep in touch with people from your past whether it be former classmates, co-workers or even family that you don't see very much. I use this often, at least every day, I highly recommend it, it's a must have in my daily life.

This really is one social media platform you shouldn't ignore. It's like refusing to upgrade to telephones when telegraphs were dying: you can't fall behind on communication. I normally use this to coordinate meetups with my friends, but it's also great to keep into their lives when they have photos and other things to share. The biggest thing I've seen it do is connect long lost friends and family, though. Once my dad started using it he couldn't stop because of how many people he could connect to and my mother loves using it to share pictures of her cooking. It really is a great way to keep in touch with people and share moments with multiple parties at once without the hassle of postage, email, and unnecessary fees. Also, the game on it are fun. ;)

I think Facebook has come quite a far way in the last decade. While many changes have and will continue to be made, the concept has always remained aligned with the same simple mission. For old friends and new to connect, network and build lasting relationships with the people in or near their lives.
There's always going to be a few things that bug me - but, those things usually change to my liking eventually. Right now, the thing I really don't like is the fact that people can see when the last time I signed on was - it's just not something I want every person on my Friends list to know all the time. You know, the "randoms". Why should it matter to them if the last time I signed on was five minutes or even five days ago?
Anyhow, the platform itself has always tried to be a step ahead of the times, which isn't easy in this day and age.
The engineers seem to always be paying attention to what the people want - and the changes that are made tend to benefit more than they hinder. The most recent change is by far my favorite: "Reactions". We can now (finally) Like, Love, Laugh, Express Awe, Show Grief and even Anger.
While there are months upon end that I can't stand to scroll the "Home" feed, I still sign on to "check my Facebook".
The private message ability, free photo storage/sharing and a quick glance at the Trending report can all be done in the same moment all right there on the same Home Feed page. Doesn't get more convenient than that. Facebook is in it for the long haul. It's never too late to sign up - just remember to keep your privacy settings high and your rants low. Stick to sharing food pictures and the occasional grumpy cat and you'll be just fine. ;)
