My favorite app, which I admittedly spend too much time using. I love how it allows for instant messaging, calling, video chatting, and keeps me updated on news and what my friends are up to. It has everything I need, all in one app, at no cost!
I did deduct one star, however, because I have been having some issues. For example, Facebook messenger occasionally deletes words from my inbox at the end of messages, and I didn't appreciate how Facebook recently invaded my privacy with the latest update by insisting on displaying my text messages in Facebook messenger.
What can I say? I know it's hip to hate on fb but it's my number 1 way to keep in contact with my parents who are still in Holland :( We used to Skype, but the video chat quality was so low we gave up. Now we're using fb video chat and it's awesome. I miss my parents and this definitely helps us keeping in touch. Yay Facebook!
To keep in contact for group projects or your aunt, facebook is simple and easy to use. I like that I'm able to teach my grandma how to use it (email is more confusing to teach) so it has been quite the treasure to be able to bond with my family on an easy platform.
Facebook has become an uncle in the social media family. It's not very fun but you visit once or twice none the less. Nothing incrediblly bad nor good. Eh ... it's okay
Over the past few years my activity on Facebook has declined..now the only time I go on it is for some quick scrolling/browsing as opposed to sharing information; I also hate the Messenger feature that cannot be used through the Facebook app...an additional app must be downloaded which I refuse to do.
I liked the old, more simplified Facebook better....though I do like the new emotions.
The fact that a lot of my family and friends live 3000 miles away from me I like that I can keep in touch and see pictures daily but then I feel some others put all their daily stuff on there that not everyone needs to see and it becomes annoying so I am 50/50 on it.
I feel kind of "meh" about Facebook. I'm not sure if I would either recommend it or not. Personally, I don't have a Facebook account. I mean, I have one in order to have a page for my blog, but I don't use the account itself at all. I just find it too much of a distraction. If I wanted to talk to my friends, I could just call. I don't have much use for the account, but I can see both sides.
Totally sick of social media and how it controls us...Facebook had just become a huge place for advertising, making money off all of us and stealing all of our information.
Facebook not only lets me stay in touch with old friends but makes me available to new friends as well. Also with Facebook depending on who you follow it is fantastic for marketing and for finding out what is new within your industry. I have a business and personal account to keep my two lives apart but I do love everything it has to offer.
Facebook connects me to my family and friends and I get caught up on the news and literally anything. Family functions and events all get posted on Facebook. I have joined a few groups and get notifications instantly do I don't miss a thing. Of course it is always fun to look up old classmates and friends.
