Delicious Light Treat With Natural Sweetness

I really enjoy these Farmer's Market scones, from Loblaws or Independent. They are a decent price and you typically get six per pack. They are average in size. There are a variety of options, such as cinnamon, cheddar, and plain.

The stars of these are the raisins- and it is PACKED with raisins in every single bite. The dough is soft and flakey, particularly when warmed in the microwave for 20 seconds. I tend to find the dough a bit dry if I don't microwave them for a few seconds. The taste of the biscuit is mild, which allows the natural sweetness of the raisins to shine through. The chewiness of the raisins is perfectly complimented by the flaky tenderness of the biscuit.

For all biscuit and raisin lovers

These can be found at Loblaws or Independant. You can find them for a good price when they are at regular price. Often if you go in the morning or later in the evening, some Loblaws or Independant stores will have them for 50% off.

The only way I eat these is fresh out of the microwave. I feel the bread turns soft and it has a freshly baked taste. The raisins shine in this biscuit because they add a level of sweetness. There are a good amount of raisins in each biscuit. I like how the bread does not have a strong flavor so it allows the raisins to really be accentuated. These are great for breakfast with a yogurt and fruit.
