So as a professional English teacher, obviously this isn't great literature. But that's not why I read it. It seemed like everyone was reading this so I thought I'd give it a try, hoping for some excitement. Well, I read some passages aloud to my husband. . . to make him laugh. I just didn't find this that exciting and it was pretty poorly written.
Ugh ugh ugh. I would give it 0 stars if I could and go on all day about way in which these books stink. They are terribly written and filled with so many grammatical and spelling errors. The characters are not relate-able or endearing, and the story was boring! The sex scenes were repetitive and yawn worthy. I really don't see the appeal.
I actually enjoyed 50 shades. Had me giggling in some parts and mad in others. I think deep down you want to try some of the things mentioned but in reality probably won't. Therefore you can do it by living through the characters set out in the book. However I didn't care to much for the second book as much as the first and the third I haven't gotten to read yet. The movie that is suppose to be coming out does not look as interesting and poor pick of actors so that is up in the air for me.
I thought this book was boring. It dragged on and on.I only read it due to word of mouth cause every one was saying how great it was but its not. I thought the book could have been written better then what it was.
I don't plan on seeing the movie at all.
J'ai bien aimé ce livre moi! J'ai embarqué complètement! L'intrigue est bonne. Ce fut une excitante lecture. À recommander pour tout le monde même s'il y a des gens qui ont moins aimé.
This was badly written. Obvious Twilight fan fiction. I felt like the story had potential had it been in the hands of a good editor. But alas it wasn't. So boooo....
Ugh. [SPOILER ALERT!]. I'm always drawn to controversial reads as a gimmick, and every time I end up disappointed in the lack of controversy actually in them. I thought I was getting an all out smut book and what happened was this is actually a story about a guy who USED to be all kinky with past girls but once he meets this Ana he gives it all up. (A book about Christian Greys first 15 subs might be something now). What bedroom scenes there are become redundant. There's a lot of repetitive words and thoughts, and contradictory behaviours. They're all "in love" after about 2 weeks and must have gotten engaged in a month (ugh, really?) and then she gets pregnant b/c she doesn't understand how the birth control she chose works(2 different times!). Really? Ana is "kept' by this millionaire and then he changes for her and they live happily ever after. Read the first book and skip the other two. Was expecting to be shocked and wasn't... I mean there are millions of smutty romance novels on the market so I don't see this as standing out.
