#6 in Books

Description

This book traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism.

I wouldn't say "Worst book ever" but I am truely sad I wasted my time on this book. There was NO story, plot, excitement or intelligence at all. I found "Ana" annoying, whiny and I just wanted to punch her and her "Inner Goddess" in the face. It was poorly written, and I did not enjoy it at all.

NOTHING happened. There was no point to the whole book. The "sensual" parts seem to be the only thing that makes this book sell. And if that's all your after.... get a Playboy or look online for some risqué reading that is probably better writen and more believable.

I will not be reading the rest of the books because I couldn't care less about these characters and there is no story to look forward too. Total waste of time and money.

Fifty Shades of Grey was a good story, essentially. Although, I found the sentences and structure of the novel very poorly constructed (as not many people know it began as a Fan fiction of Twilight). I enjoyed the series and would probably be interested in reading something similar. My main issue was the spelling and grammatical errors I had in my copies of the books. I did purchase them as e-books but that should be no excuse to have errors. I don't remember how much I paid for these books but I believe it was around 11.99 each, which I believe was more than the paperback copy back in March.

Everyone at work said I had to read this series so I did. I found it average, nothing shocking or incredible. I found I had to keep reading to find out how it all ended by I wouldn't read them again or recommend them as must reads. It was somewhat entertaining but I found it so repetitive and redundant. I was tired of the same expressions over and over through all 3 books. I found myself skipping over sections because it was so repetitive and normally I am the kind of reader that has to read every word not to miss anything. So I would recommend it as a nice love story but forwarn you that is frustrating at times.

Everyone was raving about these books, so I figured I'd check them out. I bought a package (3 books) at Costco for $9.99, which was a steal of a deal. I started reading the first book, and was completely bored. I didn't get into the "action" at all, and found it really lame.. I honestly pushed myself to read about half the book, and that was it. I haven't gone back to it since. Hopefully the movie will be a lot better, for me.

I love me a good trashy romance book but Fifty Shades was beyond trashy in my opinion but in a good way...It was one of those books I could not put down. I was originally going to by the trilogy at my local Barnes & Noble but was not gonna be paying almost $50 for the set...I got it on their website for $30 and got free shipping

Gah! These books are very intriguing to say the least!!! I enjoyed them all, I think once you get over the initial shock of the "romance" the story line keeps you hooked. You're always wanting to know what will happen next. I love books like that. This is a great read but definitely for the older reader ;)

I found once you read the first one it was much the same with the following two books. I found it very repetitive and no real story line to it other than lots of sex and his dark side.
