Description

This book traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism.

just finished this book 1 week ago and startet book 2. i liked the first book,it was an easy read(my national language isn't english,so i was scared it would be difficult to read for me,but it wasn't at all!). what i don;t like and what i think is getting annoying from me is some parts that will repeat and repeat again and again. i scroll my eyes if i read all the time: she bites her lips, and OH MY....
i also think that this book isn;t for some people, because the language she chose isn't that great sometimes...(F... word very often).
i still give it a thumbs up, because the book ended so,that i had to get book 2..... great book but sometimes annoying because of repeating so much....

    (sorry about my english)

Ok so it's a stupid set of books... enjoyed the last half of the last book more than any of it ... why some might ask ... because it's less repetitive ... ... i found the first two books very repetitive and not that great. yes it's sexual but that is it ...

This was such a good book! I got so into it and couldn't put it down, I read the entire thing on my day off haha. I couldn't wait to read the second and third, and now I'm done the series and I'm a little sad, it's such a good trilogy!

Love It!! The second and third books are better, not as "raunchy" as some would say! But it is deffinatly hard to put this book down!

I do really like this book. It is true what they say once you pick it up it is so hard to put it down. I am on the first one Fifty Shades of Grey and am looking forward to the next 2. It does have a lot of raunchty parts, but better than that it is a very good book. I find it to be a very easy read. I am wondering how they plan on making this into a movie!?

I bought the trilogy based on the hype and halfway through the first book, I'd like my money back.

I put up with the bad writing in Twilight because I liked the story. But in this case it's bad writing and a bad story. I'm not sure how this will end up being a romance with such a twisted beginning. The whole domination angle is really disturbing to me. I'm not sure yet if I'll finish the first book. Maybe it redeems itself? Or maybe the trilogy will appear as a donation at the end of my driveway for someone else.

So I did end up donating the trilogy at the end of my driveway. I never made it beyond half-way through the first book. Bad writing, abusive relationship, scary to think of young girls reading this thinking this is what they need to do to please a man.

Al the talk was about this book, on facebook, with friends etc. So, I really wanted to read it. I didn't get through much when I decided to give up on it. My initial impression, was the read was boring and very poorly written. I kept going on thinking it would get better. Just a few chapters in, I gave up. Just couldn't continue. I have read better books in kindergarten. I am sure eventually the book gets juicy but there is more to a book that just a few highlights.. very disappointing.

I admit, when the hype started, I ignored it and told myself I would not follow along. But I finally gave in! I read all three of her books, and I did enjoy them. Christian Grey definitely has that bad-boy-exterior-but-inner-softie thing down. I think a lot of women will find themselves lusting after this character! I must say that the writing is not good. The author uses the same wording frequently through all three of the books, and you will be let down if you are looking for a well-written novel. However, I don't think that's what most of us were looking for when they sat down to read this. It is a definite guilty pleasure!

I fell for all the hype but couldn't even get through the first of this over-marketed trilogy. The writing is disappointing and the characters unbelievable. I was left disappointed with this glorified "Harlequin"-type book. I'm all for fantasy lit for moms but this was highly deceiving.
