Fifty Shades of Grey Reviews
#6 in Books

Description

This book traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism.

    !!

The books were well written, the S&M;was really boring to read with not alot of detail but it was from the woman's perspective and she was a Virgin. Love the storyline of the books, all of them. The movie sucked. Will not watch the others. They both played their role terribly and Christian Grey was not good looking at all. Book better than the movie, always kept me on my toes for what the next book had in store.

This triple series was fantastic but I've also read better. The books I couldn't put down which are the storiesI love the most. If EL James came up with another series I wouldn't even think twice about reading it. I'd definitely read this series over again and that is something I don't agree to ever!

Mixed review. I read this book in a day. Easy read, not great writing. Super sexy book though so it was fun to read and nice to finally know what everyone was ranting and raving about!

Kind of an odd book to read, especially to those like me that prefer a good storyline instead of porn. I wasn't really interested in the first or second one, but the third one was more about Christian on a psychological level. That one was more interesting.

I read all three books. I heard about it when the movies come out and that some were shocked. I read the books first and them watched the movie. The books where more informative on the BDSM side of erotica. I did not mind reading it.

I didn't read this book when it first came out. I kept hearing about it, and how people were shocked about the content. So I had to read it!
I actually enjoyed the kink side of this book, because you don't come across many books that people are reading.. and it has more than just the word sex in it. I do like the fact that it explains some things, describes his room, and what kind of fetishes he is into. Unlike Anastasia, who annoyed me! I didn't like her character.

You either like this book or hate it. I absolutely loved it. It had a good storyline and I love they became an actual couple. As it should be.

The book that everyone loves to hate, or hates to love. I read it before I saw the movie last year.
So many people were/are up in arms about this book, I think mainly due to being offended about what went on in the playroom, and thinking the spankings are assault. Other people repulsed by this book also say their relationship isn't a typical BDSM one. While I don't know about that, I do know that everything/everyone does not have to fit into one box. Plus, here's something to consider: So you mean to say that this scenario does not exist? - a young, inexperienced, naïve woman wants a relationship with a hot, confident, wealthy man, so she overlooks his "tendencies". She just knows that he will change. With her good love. Come on, this is too common people!!
Ana was a let down, being such a push over, but I get that is the point of her character. But for me, the biggest let down was the writing, which just wasn't up to par. Turns out I don't like sexual fantasy books, they just aren't realistic. If I'm constantly rolling my eyes over the sex scenes, that aint good.
The movie was just meh. I hesitate to recommend this, it's a weak You Betcha!, bc it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you're open minded, it won't upset you, so that's why I can't say Fugheddaboutit!

It was an okay book. I have all three but I don't see all the hype though. The movie wasn't that great as well.
