Cute Firebuds Set but Lacks Something Special

Today we received the Firebuds Die-cast 3 Pack. My daughter was excited when she saw the package as she loves playing "rescue team" with her toys. Once the package was opened, the first thing she tried to do was remove the characters from their vehicles and was a little disappointed that they could not be taken out. Next, she tried pulling them back along the floor hoping to get them driving on their own, but the vehicles lacked this option as well. After only a couple of minutes, she set the Firebuds to the side and wanted to play with other toys. Eventually, she decided to try out the vehicles again and incorporated them into her game. The Firebuds are well constructed but lacking any additional features or options that would make them exciting or special.

Good Stocking Stuffer Option

I received this product complimentary courtesy of Butterly. The product contained three emergency vehicles (fire, police and ambulance) with a character in each one from Disney's Firebuds. The toys reminded me of the ones you get in a McDonald's Happy Meal. While my niece isn't familiar with Firebuds, her dad is a paramedic and her uncle is a firefighter, so that made her slightly interested in the toys. I guess this toy would be ideal for a child who is familiar with the characters, and, based on its small size, would be good for a gift exchange or stocking stuffer, or as part of a larger gift. Most of the toy is made of plastic, but some of the exterior of the vehicles is metal. On their own, they toys are not very exciting unless you have a track of some sort to play with them on. My niece wasn't interested in them for very long.
