Perfect for Toronto Winters!
In about October, I knew I was going to need to get some serious lip products to help protect and soothe my lips through the cold winter months. This is my favourite out of the ones that I’ve tried. It’s moisturizing, hydrating and softening. The applicator is a little weird but after my first few uses, I got the hang of it. I’ll definitely be purchasing more so I have backups.
Love This Stuff!
I bought this lip treatment in one of Sephora's holiday sets, and it's really been great for my dry lips. The consistency is thick but not sticky or heavy, glides on nicely, and stays on for a decent amount of time before having to reapply. I like putting it on before bed, and I also use it on days when I wear a bullet-style lipstick (non liquid) as it creates a nice base for my lips.
It has a minty scent and no colour tint at all, and it's easy to throw in my purse or a pocket and use it anytime. The applicator is an angled plastic thing with a hole in it where the product comes out, and it's a squeeze tube.
Def worth the price if you're looking for a moisturizing lip treatment that isn't tinted!
I really enjoy using that lip balm. It is light in texture and penetrates well into the lips. I have a hard time finding a lip balm that really heals my lips, and that one, although it doesn't get rid of my chapped lips completely, helps a lot. I am using my second tube, right now, and never repurchased a lip balm before (which says something about that one)!
This lip product is a bit expensive...I am not overly okay with spending $15 on a lip product that (for me) lasts less then a month. With that being said, I probably will continue to do so because it is actually a good product. I suffer from chronic dry lips and have tried countless lip balms/treatments. This is the first one that I feel actually soaks into my lips and provides it with a good dose of moisture. It is thick but not gooey or sticky. It feels really comfortable on and I love the smell/taste..a very light minty one. I also love that it is petroleum free. I will definitely be repurchasing this.
I love the First Aid Beauty line for their creams, but this lip therapy was just so disappointing.
Pros:
- hygienic tube / application
- lots of products
Cons:
- wasn't actually moisturizing my lips
- overly thick
- sticky feel
- not a fan of that mint scent
I love this lip balm! It helps even the most chapped lips in only a matter of mins of putting it on. After one day of using it with serverly chapped lips, the show a significant improvement! Also I find that unlike other medicated balms tend to have adverse effects, the more often you use it, the more you NEED to use it, as soon as you stop cause your lips have healed, with I hours they are chapped again almost creating a dependency! Not with FAB lip therapy!
I was so excited to try this because I LOVE first aid beauty products...but this was a huge let down. It is initially moisturizing but then does nothing for the lips.
I was excited to see that FAB came out with a lip therapy product and couldn't wait to try it. After using it daily for about a month, I will not be repurchasing. It didn't make my lips feel any smoother, and I would have to apply it 5+ time a day. This product was not as moisturizing as I would have liked. I will be going back to my blistex after this, cheaper and works a lot better!
HOLY GRAIL LIP BALM
During the brutal winter my lips flake, crack and bleed. I've always heard amazing things about this brand so i picked up this lip balm in a kit during boxing day, definitely my best purchase. It almost instantly starts to repair any cracks in your lips and deeply moisturizes them. The product is perfect for really dry lips.
