great idea but poor execution
I bought my first fitbit in nov 2015. I do not wear it to shower and treat it with very light use. however, I had multiple defective fitbits that simply stopped working or syncing and went through 4 in the first year. I am now on my 5th and made my first purchase over a year ago. now the band on the one I have had only for a few months have fallen apart. ive used superglue and now its falling apart again. I love the idea of the product and really want it to work out, but the quality seems very poor for the price.
Fell Apart
I purchased 2 Fitbit Charges (one for me and one for my fiancee) and within 8 months the band bubbled and caused the tracker to fall out.. I will say that their customer service was impeccable. They send me 2 new Fitbit Alta trackers as replacements.
Had a flex then upgraded to the Charge. The product does what it says but I found the battery life dropped off steeply after about 6 months. Costco refunded me and I've move up to the Charge HR. If this fails as well I'll be moving away from the Fitbit products.
My Fitbit motivates me to get my steps in and exercise more. My favorite feature is the silent alarm feature because it helps me wake up smoothly without being harshly awakened.
