Kiss me twice lip and cheek chubby
Found the quality of product was great for the value. It lasted on my cheeks all day, very blendable! Great colors goes well with my fair skin. Will continue to purchase!
I bought this looking for a quicker way to do my beauty routine. I thought the product sounded good, I got the Perfect Canvas Crème Foudation. Anyways, its terrible. No coverage, and doesn't even smooth on skin. Looks sooooo bad. I would actually say I hate it :( I had such high hopes. Not sure if im gonna try any more from the brand. Probably not.
If you haven't heard of Flower Cosmetics yet, you sure will soon. This American beauty brand, partly owned by the beautiful Drew Barrymore is now available at Walmart in Canada!
This brand prides itself on it's high quality products for low prices. They state their "philosophy" on their website as:
"You no longer have to spend a lot of money to get the quality cosmetics you want and deserve.
How do we do it? We do not pay for advertising. Where other beauty brands spend a vast percentage of the cost of their products on ads, we do not. Drew, as an owner of the brand, takes pride in promoting Flower, which in turn allows us to put all of our resources into the formulas and packaging, and not into advertising.
Custom-formulated with the same ingredients used in luxury make-up, our exclusive botanical-infused Soft-Focus Complex illuminates for a lit-from-within effect.
All products are proudly made in the USA and are never tested on animals.
So be em-FLOWER-ed. The best make-up isn’t only found in high-end stores any longer."
I found this idea quite intriguing, so I decided to pick up a few of their products at my local Walmart and see if the products lived up to their claims.
The brand offers a wide range of products, from BB Creams to makeup brushes, so I had a hard time choosing which products to try. They all looked quite appealing! Despite their bulky packaging - seriously, one of their lipsticks rivals the size of a mac tube - but I ended up leaving with three: a concealer, nail polish and cream blush.
Win Some, Rouge Some Cream Blush in "Primrose and Proper" - The adorable names in this line do not disappoint. The packaging of this blush is my favourite of the three products I picked up - simple and compact. The product itself also impressed me. It is super pigmented and blends lovely on the skin. It has a slightly tacky consistently (less cream-to-power, more Stila Convertible Colour), but still feels comfortable on the skin. For the $7 price, I will be picking up a few more of these!
Lighten Up! Brightening Concealer: I freakin' love anything that combines the terms "brightening" and "concealer" so I had to pick this one up. It's hard to find anything that rivals my Nars Creamy Concealer, but I'm always open to trying new products. I may have accidently went a little overboard in first application, but it surprisingly is super creamy and provides great coverage!
Only cons? It is super yellow-based, so it did not mesh well with my pink toned skin ( as you can see). I had to blend, blend, blend in order for it to work. This is also the lightest shade they make, which is still a bit too dark for my skin. The packaging is also a bit of a turn off for me, as it's quite bulky. But you win some, you lose some!
Nail Polish in Pansy Smansy - I think of all the products I picked up, I was most impressed with the nail polish. It applied super opaque with not a streak in sight. The pictures below are after one coat - ONE COAT PEOPLE. It also dried super quick, which is another bonus. The line boasts quite the impressive colour range (16 in total) so I'll definitely be picking up some more of these, not to mention they cost only $5.
I can't wait to try some more of these products! Have you tried any of the Flower Beauty line?
