Greatest Invention so far!

As a type 1 diabetic for over 15 years now i have spent my years picking my finger day in and day out along with having to stop what i was doing to check my sugar. When i heard this meter was available in canada to order i jumped at the idea to try it out. Applying the sensor to my arm was painless (i didnt even feel a pinch) and using it is soo simple, just scan the meter over the sensor at anytime within 8 hours (even while wearing a winter jacket) and the best part is i dont have to stop what i am doing to check where my blood sugar is at especially during exercise. The sensor lasts for 14 days so you could go on a vacation with it on and not have to worry about changing it.I love that it shows graphs with trends over an 8 hour span so i can see where my sugar began to spike or go low, it makes my diabetic visits with my doctor a lot easier. The only downside is when you first put on your sensor it takes 1 hour to use it and the first 12 hours arent very accurate therefore i keep my old meter handy. overall those i feel more free than ever and forget im even wearing it it's so small and light weight.

This is a sensor that you wear for 2 weeks instead of having to prick your finger to test your blood you just wave the meter at it and get your reading. You can get a reading right through your clothes. My granddaughter is diabetic and sometimes during the night we have to test her and before libre we would have to wake her. Now we can just wave the meter and get a reading that way and only wake her if we have to treat a low.
