Terrible customer service esp to a loyal/longtime client
Terrible experience with this sneaky company that boasts about "no hidden fees or surprises", but hides everything in their Terms and Conditions. No different than other networks, other than slower speeds, dead zones, and oh yeah, surprise roaming charges.
Their bait-and-switch referral program is convoluted and needs to be better communicated. I referred 3 people and only got credit for 1 because of the poor communication from this communication company - such a joke.
Only bearable since I work from home and use a more reliable provider for home wifi (which also has better customer service and knows how to retain loyal, longtime customers). So Freedom's low quality network and rate is what it is, but shouldn't be your main network source unless you are desperate and have A LOT of patience to save a buck. Otherwise, there are other reliable Canadian carriers better suited to meet quality customer care, and offers competitive rates because they value your on-going business.
Awful customer service
Was with freedom mobile for 2 years and though their plans are cheaper than many other cell providers, the customer service I received over those 2 years was terrible. I left them for that reason, their store employees were very rude and condescending as well.
Great starter phone company
I bought a new iPhone SE and phone plan for my 13 year old daughter through freedom mobile . They were very helpful and the price was unbeatable. So far we have been very happy
Great when it works
I switched to freedom 15 months ago. I got one of the newer iPhones without putting any money down. I also received a bonus of extra data, I get tons of data each month and don’t even come close to using it. Quite often my phone does not receive a text message for several hours after it was sent, or if I want to make a phone call I have no service. I have spoken to freedom but they don’t really believe that this happens. A few of my friends have the same issues. I look forward to my 2 year contract ending.
Service is not good
I signed up for a plan because of the value and was concerned about the service area coverage. Salesman said coverage would not be a problem so I signed up. Went home and discovered that I could not get service coverage inside my home. I took the sim card back the next day and was told everything would be ok and account closed. A few weeks later I got a bill for $4.00. When i inquired about it I was told the charge was for the day I had the sim card and number even though I could not use it and would not give me a credit. Horrible experience
I've had freedom for over a year and honestly this is the worst service I've ever had. Just had a few issues that the customer service gave me a hard time about. Also their cell service is not very good. LTE is only available on certain phones and it's hard to upgrade to something well known.
