I wish that I liked the taste of this one as much as heinze because it is made in Canada. I know a lot of restaurants started the switch because of that reason but for some reason I just can't get on that bandwagon because I truely think this one doesnt have as good of a flavour. It's not that it tastes bad, just not as good as heinz
Ever since I tried French's Tomato Ketchup I fell in love with its pure taste. Made from simple ingredients and only made in Canada makes it the number one choice for my brand of ketchup. Taste like ketchup should and not sweet like its competitors.
My family members are diehard fans of Heinz's Ketchup but we wanted to give French's Tomato Ketchup a try. All I can say is that it is tangy and tart without the sweetness that you expect and are used to having in ketchup. None of us liked it and we will be sticking to our tried and true Heinz Ketchup. Not a winner in my household.
I prefer this brand as the Heinz brand is no longer made in Canada. Also there is no high fructose corn syrup in it like the ketchup brands that are manufactured in the States. Excellent consistency and not too acidic.
While extremely reluctant to try it since I have loved "the other brand" all my life and am known in our family as the Ketchup Kid, my daughter insisted we try French's and bought some. Had a plate of French fries and she put some of each ketchup in a little cup and gave me the taste test. What a surprise! I did not know one from the other so since she does the grocery shopping, she can buy French's as far as I'm concerned. It tasted, looked like and had the same consistency of my favourite - in fact loved it! Have been telling my other siblings about it since all 6 of us were raised on "the other brand" and have been brand loyal all our lives.
I was surprised to try this ketchup and be brought back to childhood memories of the chip stands with the tall red ketchup bottles on the counters ledge. The taste is great, better than Heinz even, and it's a Canadian company. I'm all for switching to frenchs ketchup.
I used to think Heinz ketchup was my favorite, that was until I tried this ketchup,oh my heaven it is so delicious. It has a really intense tomato flavor ,with a little bit of tang,we put this on everything even our eggs, its that good .I would definitely recommend this ketchup to everyone
In an effort to trim the grocery budget, I decided to give this ketchup a try. My kids all yummed it up and never once did I hear a comment about it not being our usual brand. The taste, colour, consistency are all good and it performs the same as the more expensive brand we used to buy. It also has an easy wide, standable lid so the ketchup is always at the ready. Certainly worth a try!
